The Rise of Skywalker IMAX poster is NOT the way!

This Poster is not the way!
Drew Struzan is laughing his ass off at these atrocities!

And the other one from earlier this year with the Hot Toys Palpatine figure used was another terrible poster.

Good to see they're saving money in the budget!
Personally I like this one the most...and it's made by a fan.

My hopes and fears for that Galaxy far far away on the eve of The Mandalorian

On the eve of the Mandalorian I find myself excited for the potential of this show but nervous for the future of the franchise after hearing the sobering rumors of how poorly the initial test screening for The Rise of Skywalker went.
I'm a fan and seeing how these ST movies have absolutely missed the mark and divided the fandom hurts a little, I introduced my son to Star Wars with the OT and then the PT and we watched some of TCW and all of SWR together. He's about to turn 10 and his interest in the once legendary franchise is waning! Part due to me, he hears me complaining about TLJ and the utterly deplorable manner the legacy characters have been treated in the ST and how 1 dimensional the new characters are. Ever since the announcement of these movies and the choice of 3 different directors I had a lingering question in the back of my mind; why?
So with 40 days till TRoS I hope this movie will succeed and help reunite the fan base to ensure future generations can enjoy adventures in that galaxy far far away. But truth be told I never had faith in JJ Abrams or Ryan Johnson or the plan to let each director "do their own thing".
So getting back to Hope, I have a good feeling about The Mandalorian, they certainly have the right people working on it, Dave Filoni the heir apparent to the Maker, Jon Favreau, Taika Waititi, Deborah Chow and an impressive cast with talent like Pedro Pascal, Carl Weathers, Werner Herzog, Giancarlo Esposito.
I hope this show explores the Mandalorian Culture and what happened to them during the years of Imperial Control. I pray this show connects to the events of Star Wars Rebels and we are re introduced to Bo Katan (voiced by Katie Sackhoff) and the Dark Sabre! I wouldn't mind mentions of Tarre Vizsla, Dutchess Satine, and House Wren as well.....

This series has the potential to unite the fandom by connecting the OT and the ST thru a few threads and be it's own story at the same time just like Star Wars Rebels did!

Star Wars Episode IX The Rise of Skywalker D23 "trailer"

I bet when 2/3 of the Titanic was already submerged the crew got frantic and just started coming up with all kinds of cockamamie idea's...we can see this in the D23 "trailer" for TRoS...
First off literally 56 seconds of this "trailer" is nothing but a reminder of better times....before Disney. Thanks for the trip down nostalgia lane but I thought you wanted us to "let the past die, kill it if we have to". And how did you respond to criticism of TLJ from fans like myself???

And the rest is just....cockamamie

Are we supposed to believe C-3PX is gonna be in RotS, or is this confirmation of the recent plot leak the C-3PO mistakenly uploads the memory unit of an old combat droid. It wasn't funny in AotC, it certainly won't be funny now.

So Rey is a Sith Temple Guard?? Nice connection to Rebels, but futile. the writers of BVS pale in comparison to Dave Filoni, the prodigal son of the Maker!

There's a difference between thematic juxtaposition for story telling purpose and control C, control V. I don't think Jar Jar realizes this!
I fear this trilogy was rushed out with out a clear story planned, character development planned out and has not connected to kids my son's age. The ST has created a rift in the fandom as far apart in opinion as the Jedi and Sith philosophies and only a master who knows all the aspects of the force can reunite the fandom! Clearly the person IS NOT Kathleen Kennedy!
I propose a vote of no confidence in Kathleen Kennedy, and propose Dave Filoni be considered as the new Chancelor of Lucasfilm!

Is there a way to save the ST? I think there is!

So celebration has sparked a glimmer of hope in me regarding episode IX.
Like the good ol days I'm gonna share my theory, this is gonna be a rough draft so to speak...
Who is Reys parents
How is she so powerful without ANY formal Jedi Training?
What the F was Snoke's importance?
Is Sheeve in IX
Did Palps actually know Plageuis's ability to cheat death?
What ever happened to Luke's severed hand that was rumored to kick off this trilogy in TFA?

How does this scene answer most of these questions?

REY IS A CLONE OF LUKE SKYWALKER!

The Sith are all about the here and now, power and selfishness, they have no faith in the force after death. Palpy must've realized his time was finite and HAD to have been working on a contingency plan knowing the rule of two would eventually come to pass. Assuming he actually wasn't able to discover his masters secret for cheating death he had to look to other methods. He also must've kept the Kaminoans tech under wraps....not too many know of them.
So who was in occupation of Bespin when Luke lost his hand??? Yup the Empire!
So Sheev gets Luke's hand and calls his ol friend Lama Su.
Thus Rey is born created, and since midichorians are just microscopic life forms (nothing mystical here) they too can be cloned thus explaining Rey's Mary Sueness!
Now where do we keep all these clones??? DSII? NAH. Coruscant? Nah! Lets just plant them around the galaxy where there's populations of beings that have been found by the Jedi with high midichlorian counts and see which one's display a connection with the force!
With this speculation comes the possibility there could be hundreds of Reys all over the Galaxy completely unaware of who or what they are and maybe broom boys mommy is a Rey.
In a way Luke could have spread "Rey's of hope" across the galaxy totally unawares!
Now what's the deal with Snoke? He wasn't Plagueis, he was able to use the dark side of the force....I'm gonna say he was Palpy's clone, that survived the destruction of DSII barely. This explains his deformities.
With this we won't actually need to see Sheeve in the flesh thus saving Anakins story!

they are gonna find info on the remains of the DSII which leads them back to Jakku where they find the emperor's top secret cloning chamber, inside are thousands of cloning pods like on Kamino. All young boys. All dead but 1. Rey saves the boy from Kylo and brings the boy to General Leia to raise....the son she never had. She returns to politics since the republic is in chaos and without leadership. And over the years her son (the clone of Sheev Palpatine) follows in her footsteps! The end is the beginning....
This leaves Leia alive and Kylo remains on the dark side and Rey on the light side.

Just one last question.....is the force in balance with this speculation? Kylo doesn't get redeemed, Rey isn't the hero....Luke actually is since essentially she IS Luke Skywalker.

Thoughts? Yes? No? Feel free to contribute!

Star Wars Celebration 2019 has begun

Star Wars Celebration began today, and so far JJ has revealed who the ultimate evil villain is of the ST and this will be a day long remembered ...
When Steven Colbert asked JJ Abrams if he can share who the true villain of the Sequel Trilogy is he coyly (sp?) looked to his left and said Kathleen! Now he could of been deferring the query to Kathleen Kennedy but it could've also been a double entendre!
Oh yeah we also got the title and trailer for Episode IX....

I wanted to feel some level of hype, I REALLY DID!
I did not.
The "on your marks, get set, g....wait, ok go" moment totally deflated my hope, and when she force jumped over Kylo's Tie Fighter....UGGH!
I was like WHY!??? I would have loved to see her use Kylo's OP ability to "freeze' things in motion....of just drop to the ground and gut the Tie as it flew over her.
The scene with Lando made me wonder if L337 was between his legs....UUUGGGHHHH >.<
Throughout the whole trailer I was like, "Where the ominous feeling?", "who's the true villain of the ST???"
(Thanks JJ! That was a brilliant reply to Colbert's question BTW)
Then we see the remnants of a DS in an ocean....it's gotta be Endor!
And then we hear ol Sheev cackling....
Way to shoe horn Palpy into this and utterly eradicate Anakin's entire life legacy and redemption!!!

And I'm on the fence about the title The Rise of Skywalker, is that an FU to Rian? Are we referring to Kylo Skywalker (Please NO!) Is it referring to Rey? (AGAIN PLEASE NO!), Does it mean Luke is gonna pull a Jesus Christ and walk outta a cave on Octoo (sp?)

Save me Jon Favereu and Dave Filoni you're my only hope! And Benioff and Weiss deliver us from evil!
