My Los Santos Picture Log Volume 5

My on going adventures in Los Santos continue! This week I bought the old dock at Paleto Cove for $250,000, and it comes with a submersible!

So I took my yellow submarine and collected all the nuclear waste sitting on the sea floor around LS....that was actually very profitable, Michael now has over a million bucks! While poor Trevor only has $89,000...
But don't feel too bad for Trevor he has recently moved into the Vanilla Unicorn!

Oh and my son was kind enough to return my car....complete with new rims....so classy!

Oh and last night I found this love note on the bedroom mirror...

My Los Santos Picture Log Volume 3 Trevorpalooza!!!

This is the Trevor Philips special....
There's nothing that needs to be said, Trevor's totally fucked in the head but he's also hilarious....definately the most "colorful" character in video game history!
Here we see the effects Trevor has had on the safe house he is crashing in....
I have added a video of the funniest Trevor transitions in the game.....when you switch from of the characters to another you get to see them in their natural habitat doing their own thing....Trevor's are by far the funniest!

My Los Santos Picture Log Volume 2

So after a few attempts at GTA Online I decided to return to the story and wait for the patch that came out yesterday.

So the first pic is where Michael spills his guts to Franklin about his involvement with the FIB.

I snapped this pic with Franklin after the assassination mission

LMAO at this billboard!

I got these next two pics after Trevor jacked the Cargobob chopper from Fort Zancudo last night. I like the pretty lights...

GTA Online My father is a legend!

So last night I got home ready to check out GTA Online! I put my son to bed and fire up the ol PS3, and download the patch. Once done I began building my avatar for GTA Online. The creation mechanic is unique, instead of just choosing a face/hairstyle/body from a catalog of choices and then making adjustments like most, in GTA Online you begin by building your heritage, lifestyle, and appearance.
Heritage: You start by choosing your mothers parents from 13 different selections each (grandma & grandpa), that determines what your mother will look like then you choose who you mother resembles more you grandma or grandpa. Then you do the same for your fathers parents....now if you're paying attention you'll get a prompt to hit triangle for "special father and BAM your father is none other than the Legend John Marston!

Lifestyle: You are allotted 20 hours to spend in the following catagories:

  • Asleep (4 hours automatically given)
  • With Friends and Family
  • Playing sports and working out
  • Doing legal work
  • Sitting on the couch
  • partying
  • Doing illegal work

Depending on how you divvy up those 20 hours will determine your characters stats for:

  • Shooting
  • Driving
  • Stamina
  • Strength
  • Flying
  • Lung Capacity
This also affects your characters appearance....if you max out your "doing illegal work" your character will look the part, scars, dark bags under your eyes etc.

Appearance: This one's self explanatory, after you're done with Heritage and Lifestyle you can tweek your character's appearance. There's a limited selection of wardrobe choices you can make and then voila your Avatar is complete!
I had created an avatar I was happy with and saved it, but then I got kicked out of GTA Online and back to the single  player game! Then I was prompted to do a System update!
After the system update was complete I logged back into GTA Online and my avatar was gone!
I also created a crew for GTA Online so CJ, Brad, Mike if you're interested I'll invite you!

My Los Santos Picture log

I've been playing GTA V for about two weeks now, there is just so much to see and do it's hard to actually focus on the story missions!
If you are a member of the R* Social Club you have access to use the in game phone's camera app to snap pics from around Los Santos.
I've taken a few so far just some funny billboards and one pic from inside Lesters house and one of Trevors trailer.

GTA V My first week in Los Santos

The last time I did a midnight launch for a game was for COD MW2, I'm also at a point in my life where day one purchases aren't crucial. I'm willing to wait for a price drop, yeah I know the negatives to doing that for online multiplayer. But this time I really wanted to get GTA V day one! So I headed over to my local GS at 10PM to get a group number, that took about an hour then headed home to return at 11:45PM. Once the doors reopened at 12:01 I was in and out by 12:10, got home and played till about 2 in tha morn.
I had a bucket list of things I wanted to do before jumping into story missions, one was getting to the peak of Mount Chiliad, the second was to circumnavigate the entire map of Los Santos. I've done both, now to successfully hijack a 747 and fly the friendly skies....
So Franklin has traveled 143.42 miles, 106.44 by car, I've spent $275 on car mods, $2,344 on Guns and ammo, $130 in the Vanilla Unicorn Strip club, $60 on healthcare. Michael has traveled 49.05 miles and 32.38 by car, I've spent $2,350 on car mods, $60 on haircuts, $1,180 on healthcare and $20 on property.

I've been working on Michael's backhand with and without a racket in his hands ;) I've played 7 games of tennis, won 3, lost 4.

I just completed the Long Stretch mission...I sense a little hostility brewing between Franklin and Lamar & Stretch....

I've logged about 12 hours on GTA V so far and I think I can say without a doubt the cast of GTA V is much more enjoyable than Niko Belic and his annoying ass cousin! The city is also much more "alive" with so many types of NPCs and ambient conversations...I actually found myself tailing some NPC's just to listen to their conversations.
The map is HUGE!!! And with most of the map blank aside from the city of San Andreas it begs to be explored!
I'm lookin' forward to setting up a crew with my friends for GTA online when it finally launches next month!

GTA V Official Launch Trailer

GTA V hits the streets in 19 days and I've tried....Lord knows I've tried to curb my enthusiasm for this game after being utterly let down with GTA IV, but after playing RDR my faith has been restored that R* has some awesome shit in store for us with GTA V!
Anyways feed your eyes on this!
