Death Stranding is only 58 days away and despite all the gorgeous trailers and deep dives into the rabbit hole I'm starting to wonder if what we see is what we're getting. On face value the game looks like a 21st century hiking simulator.
So graphics are a 10, it looks like some of the MGSV assets were reused when they showed Sam fighting some NPC's, the story still has me scratching my head. The level of detail as great as it is might become tedious for a game that has you traveling across America to "connect" the people.
I have to believe Kojima will not disappoint when it comes to the story, but as of right now all I can say is the game looks spectacular.

The trailer looks very familiar, you can see the new male terminator (BAD) takes the roll of a cop in the middle of the trailer and the new female terminator (GOOD) fights him.
The one thing I noticed was they're both rocking new tech! The black Terminator isn't just another T-1000, the "skin" can "clone" itself so in essence it's 2 terminators in one!
I wonder if we'll see John Connor at the prologue?

The first movie felt very self contained, but after seeing this trailer I'm seeing some very fascinating connective tissue! Are we witnessing the seeds of Voldemort being sewn? Did we just see Nagini?
Who's the woman sitting next to Credence Barebone? Are these two Tom Riddle's Parents? Is this Grindelward's plan to create Voldemort?
How does the legend of the Deathly Hallows fit into this movie.
After seeing this trailer I'm really looking forward to seeing this movie.
Unfortunately my son who absolutely loved the Harry potter films didn't enjoy the first Fantastic Beasts film...he fell asleep.
So it might be a struggle to get him to join me to see this one.
The DCEU NEEDS a movie like this! I'm not buying tix for this one on Fandango a month ahead of release but this lighthearted approach is SEVERLY missing in the DCEU and hopefully a sign of WB steering their ship out of stormy weather!
For the most part I enjoyed Gareth Edwards Godzilla movie from 2014. I've loved Godzilla movies since I was a kid so yeah I'm excited for this sequel...and the TOHO sequel to their 2016 Shin Gojira film.....that was crazy!

I'm not interested in which of the big three "won" E3, I want to see games that bring the "wow factor" and honestly there wasn't much in my opinion.
Death Stranding was the one I was looking forward to the most, unfortunately Kojima ''s latest trailer still left me in the dark.
The game is still cloaked in complete mystery, I am now looking forward to The Tomb Portable's analysis to see how this latest trailer can possibly support his theory that Death Stranding is MGS0.
Other notable game trailers were Kingdom Hearts III, the 2 trailers I saw truly showcased the power of this generations consoles! I never played the first two but my wife was interested in them back in the day and I think I'll be picking this up for my wife, and son and daughter.
I was impressed by Sucker Punches Ghost of Tsushima trailer, gorgeous environments and lighting effects, impressive character models and facial animations...this is Bushido Blade + Tenchu to the 100th power.
And then there's TLoU2, I loved the first game! As many others claim it was one the the top 3 for last generation. The first trailer for TLoU2 really didn't grab me like the initial trailer for the original game, last nights trailer showcased Ellie interacting with others from a group she has joined since the conclusion of the first game. The actual gameplay was brutal and the AI appeared extremely intelligent to the point where you need to be 110% aware of your surroundings and the many possible actions the AI might take. The gameplay did not look scripted and absolutely required full attention! And it looked like the AI was not pulling its punches! The environments looked great and the post apocalyptic feel of the environment is looking even better than the original!
It was cool seeing Ellie older, I wonder how her and Joel will be reunited?
This next game is an amazing surprise for me! It wasn't announced at the press event but we are getting Valkyria Chronicals 4 this year!!! I had no idea Sega was working on this and it appears to return to the series roots! I've seen some comments on how the game has last gen visuals.....these people obviously never played VC.
I just hope the story and characters are as engaging as the original!
Then there's Spiderman...it looks really good but I'm just not feeling the hype for this game.
Then we got a trailer for a game called Control....it reminded me of a B movie called the Cube mixed with M.C. Escher's dreams....very abstract....I didn't get any feels from the trailer....meh.....need more info.
From the studio that brought us Life is Strange we get a new murder mystery Twin Mirror....I really enjoyed Life is strange so I'll be checking out Twin Mirror! Oh BTW is that the same train that almost ran over Chloe? Are we world building here or is this a totally separate world??
This next game wasn't mentioned during the conference, like many titles on this list, but if you love games with atmosphere that needs to be played at night in the dark that will keep you on the edge of your seat then you need to answer the Call of Duty Cthulhu!

When I saw the first trailer for this next game at last years E3 I was very impressed this years trailer and subsequent game play demo reignited my hype for this game. I never played the original PS2 game but these trailers make me want to go old school....I'm sure the original Beyond Good and Evil is on the PS Store. This game seems very ambitious and I wonder if it will actually release for this generation.
Marvel Studios has declared the mic against DC by dropping more trailers than the DCEU has good movies......ooooh harsh. Sorry.

Paramount Pictures has released a new Annihilationtrailer for the highly anticipated follow-up from Ex Machina writer/director Alex Garland. Based on Jeff VanderMeer’s terrifying eco-horror novel of the same name, the film stars Natalie Portman as a biologist whose husband is recruited on a secret mission, then comes back unrecognizable and in dire straights. She, along with three other women, are then sent to the same location, the mysterious “Area X”, a portion of land in the United States that has been secretly quarantined due to abnormal activity. In the book, they are the twelfth expedition sent into Area X on behalf of the mysterious Southern Reach organization. The second expedition ended in mass suicide, the third in a hail of gunfire as the members turned on one another, and the eleventh expedition returned as shells of their former selves, all dying of cancer shortly after coming back.
For book readers, this new trailer offers a clearer overview of how Garland approached this adaptation, while also teasing the incredibly strange and surreal sci-fi thrills that fresh audiences can expect. I would describe VanderMeer’s book as being in the “enviro-horror” genre, in that the environment itself is where the horror is derived, and it looks like Garland was able to translate that aspect of the book tremendously well. I love how weird and strange it all feels, and those expecting a clear-cut story or some large mythology that gets explained in the third act should brace themselves—if the movie is anything like the book, it’s not about answers but the experience itself. And what a hell of an experience it looks to be.

So I'm driving home from work last night and I'm waiting at a light and see a close up of Baby Groot and BAM it's the new trailer! I pull over to watch it and I'm laughing out loud so hard people walking by look inside my car wondering what's going on.
Eat your heart out baby Ewoks and Gizmo! Baby Groot has gotta be the cutest, funniest F'N creature ever on the silver screen!

Ys Origin...I've always wanted to get into the Ys series, this trailer reminds me of an old JRPG near and dear to my heart, Lunar Silver Star Story Complete.
Dreadnought....Giant Spaceships with crazy fire power....I loved this game on the Atari 5200! Vane: I like the visual style of this game The Last of Us 2.....WHHHHAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!????? I didn't see a reason for a sequel but after seeing that trailer OKAY!

GT Sport...last Gran Turismo I owned was GT4 Parappa the Rapper 20th anniversary! I laughed my ass off with Krogenar back in the day playing this game
Windjammers: REtro never looked so good! This trailer made me remember an old NES game I loved to play SUPER Dodgeball! Who remembers that game?!
And there's also some other AAA titles coming in 2017 that I'm super hyped for that weren't showcased at the PSX presentation. Red Dead Redemption 2
Well Shut my mouth and call me quiet, I absolutely loved Red Dead Redemption and I cannot wait till I can posse up again!
I was hoping for more in the trailer but this is only an announcement trailer and we will definitely be getting more detailed trailers as we get closer to next fall.
This game is an absolute day 1 purchase!
This is the Star Wars movie I've been looking for!
I've been saying it for years, when I first heard about this movie that I was more interested in Rogue one than TFA and this trailer has completely convinced me I was right.
I pray Rogue One does well in the BO because this is exactly what the franchise needs...to expand the universe. Aside from Daisey Ridley's Rey I prefer the cast of Rogue One, the story looks infinitely more interesting and doesn't rely on stupid macguffins, obsurity and an overwhelming amount of nostalgia that can be mistaken for un-originality and rehashing.
My only concern is Joe movie goer is gonna be totally confused where this movie fits in with continuity with TFA coming out last year and episode VIII next year.
Another fascinating tidbit is Rogue One has pulled a character from TCW animated series and brought him into the Live Action Universe, Saw Gerrera played by Forest Witaker has set a precedent that will help expand Star Wars down the line. Now we could see Grand Admiral Thrawn, Ahsoka Tanno and many others from all the other genre's of media that Star Wars exists.
I know many people who didn't care for Gareth Edwards 2014 Godzilla, I did....mostly.
But Hollywood just can't seem to get Gojira right. I just recently discovered the Shin Gojira media, first off I love the idea! This is a "true" reboot of the franchise hence the Shin in the title.
I love the new explanation of Gojira's origin and that we will see the evolution of Gojira as the film progresses!
The other aspect I really like about Shin Gojira is the obvious similarities between 2011's tragic Earth Quake and Tsunami that hit NE Japan.

Shin Gojira hits US theaters October 11th and will only be in theaters till Oct.18th.

So here's the latest trailer for Final Fantasy XV, I love the FF franchise but after FFXIII, and all the sequels to the Fabula Nova Crystallis the Final Fantasy name lost a little luster for me. But it's been a few years so I'm looking forward to this chapter in the series.
This trailer was hilarious but after watching it I felt like I'd seen the potato gag before.....lo and behold I found this video from 2010 I had sitting in my favs on my YT channel!
Don't get me wrong the trailer is absolutely gut wrenchingly hilarious! Love the Saving Private Ryan recreation, that shit was funny as hell.
Well E3 is still a ways off but Capcom seems to be departing the hype train early for Street Fighter V....and you know where it's leaving from? London! Yep we get a sweet game play trailer between Ryu and Bison in the stage in London.
