TWD S7E6 Swear Thoughts and Impressions

7 seasons of TWD and I'm still watching every Sunday! The S7 premire was HARSH and since that intial shock and awe I've enjoyed each episode as it has in some way moved the story forward.....last nights episode......eeehhhhh not so much.
So Tara the Lesbian and the Heath have missed out on all the fun after killing some of the Saviors at the com tower. Tara need to cross a literal and metaphorical bridge but Tara (the Lesbian) washes up near a secret camp of all women....who eat nothing but fish!
OK that's far enough!
I'm renaming this episode
"Tara and the Secret Garden"

The Walking Dead S6E11 Knots Untie

"Right off the Bat".....
Shit's 'bout to get REAL!
The second half of this season is really going for the jugular!
Last season I Googled Negan and read a little so I kinda know how things may turn out based on the graphic novels.
First off this Crazy love triangle with Abe, Sasha and Rosita......I don't care.
Second Jesus totally breaking out and doing a 32 point inspection of Alexandria without ANYONE realizing.....Rick you're group is getting sloppy!
Third I would NEVER leave Judith with Father Gabriel....sorry I still don't like the guy.
OK so lets examine Hilltop, I'm digging the early American frontier fort look they're going for with the walls.....psst Greg wood burns (juss sayin), ok inside we have one single solitary building (with a 360 degree view) very useful to see your destruction coming towards you, and a bunch of RV's and Campers.....Ahhh Feudal America Greg, Jesus and the Doc live in the castle while the commoners work the crops like indentured servants..... NICE!
LMAO Spears vs automatic rifles....good luck with that!
I wonder what's going on in Woodbury these days?
OK so let me get this straight we're going with the diplomatic approach after seeing how weak and feeble Hilltops defenses are???
I'm sorry I'm REALLY beginning to question Ricks skills at planning! If they had used all their manpower and resources to contain the walker mosh pit instead of the disasterous walker parade plan they could've led them towards Hilltop like lemmings and just let un-nature take it's course then claimed Hill Top in the name of King Rick!
Ohh and you can't tell me the soil at Hill Top is better than the well manicured lawns in Alexandria, Hill Top looks like Mud and Rocks.
WTF Rick don't you have Zombie Farm skills from season 4?!

Coming into this episode I didn't trust Jesus as far as I could throw him, but after meeting Greg, Jesus actually seems like a guy who's truly trying to help out his community. This is a testament to the incredible writing, directing and acting in this show! Hell look at Merle, he was a total scum bag but in his final episode he redeemed himself and I actually felt sorry for him.

The highlight of this episode for me was watching Maggie negotiate/ renegotiate with Gregory, I can't say there was really anything I didn't like in last nights episode....there is definitely an un nerving tension and sadness for me after seeing the smiles from the group as they return to Alexandria with hope....because we all know what happens when hope shows up, it gets bashed brutally over the head until it's dead -.<

iZombie S2E2 Zombie Bro

In this episode Liv and Clive investigate the murder of a young man in a fraternity, this was a very funny episode watching Rose McIver (Liv) do her best impression of a 20 something college fraternity dude.
Evening funnier was Ravi and Major high on Utopium in a club.
Aside from the comedy it is sad to see the direction Major is headed this season, his resentment towards Liv and his struggle with his conscience over killing "people".
There is a scene towards the end that was bittersweet between Liv and Major that leaves a glimmer of hope for the two.
Then there was the other half of the show which revolved around Blaine and his rivalry with Stacey Boss the head honcho of organized crime in Seattle, Blaine uses his influence over a undead DA to head up a task force to go after Boss. But even the need for brains isn't enough to convince the DA to go after Boss...
So Blaine turns to his father who also happens to be undead for money, but Blaine reveals he is there for more than just money....

The Walking Dead S6E1

Leave it to Rick Grimes to make a post apocalyptic parade of the dead! And Daryl Dixon is the Grand Marshal!
It was good to see Morgan again, I'm curious how he over came his bout with insanity? Whatever he's been thru it has obviously brought him to a different point than Rick! Morgan seems keenly aware of people and their true selves....it's weird, best way to describe it would be he seems in tune with the force....
Ok so let's get to the core of the episode Rick and Morgan discover a massive amount (1000ish) of walkers trapped in a rock quarry that's been blocked off at both side by tractor trailers, the one on the far side is about to fall into the quarry due to weather erosion.
To solve the threat Rick decides the best course of action is to herd them away from Alexandria!
In order for this plan to work Rick asks for volunteers from Alexandria, the same folks he went bat shit crazy on a day or two ago to build a make shift path made of cars and walls to herd the massive amount of walkers away from Alexandria....but they gotta actually pass Alexandria in order to do this...basically using the Merle Method.
Great Idea right!?
 NO!!!
This has to be the most assanine plan I've seen in this show so far!
Glen even mentions that if you can create a funnel and manage how many come out of a warehouse at one time they're easily dispatched....
Picture your self with a bowl of Captain Crunch and each piece is a walker and they're all moshing in this rock quarry moaning and groaning attracting other walkers into this bowl...what would you do???
Me...I'd try and set those mutha fuckas on fire! Petrol shower and moltov cocktails, they were so crowded in the quarry they'd set themselves on fire! And then leave the few that weren't Anakin'd to attract more!
But what about the other side where the truck crashed off the ledge???
Well instead of wasting all the manpower building a race track for walkers I'd ask Mogan to make a new blockade using that large crop chopper thing parked on top of that one Walker and call it a day!
Aside from the obvious risks involved in Ricks plan you're leaving Alexandria fairly unprotected from what ever else is out there....and if unfriendly's didn't know about Alexandria before they certainly do now with them shooting off flares like its the 4th of July!!!!
Then again my plan would've worked better and the there would be nothing to do in season 6 but sit around the greatest campfire ever and sing cumbiah my lord.....
Oh yeah...anyone see Carl?

iZombie S2E1 Grumpy Old Liv

I'm so glad Liv, Clive, Ravi, Major and the gang are back! Fear the Walking dead was such a disappointment! My DVR is Max'd out (see what I did there), and there's just not enough time in the day to keep up with all these shows...
So S2E1 Grumpy Old Liv had Clive and Liv investigating the death of the neighborhood grumpy old man (every neighborhood has one)...
The highlight for me was Blaine's little speech to a couple in his new business venture...a Funeral Home....Shadey Plots! Ahhh nice to see the play on words and continues!
"Your peace of mind is my number one concern"
Love it!
So when Liv used the last sample of the cure on Major, Ravi's hopes of curing Zombie-ism were dashed...or were they?
Gotta get some of that  tainted Utopium! And who do they turn to? Blaine!
Now I'm curious if Blaine's cronies know that Blaine is no longer a Zombie? Last Season we saw Zombie Blaine pretending to be human, now I think we will see Human Blain hiding the fact he's human from his zombie cronies and clients.
Now that Peyton fled once Liv sprung the news that there's zombies in Seattle and the she is actually one also, Liv has found a new roommate...Gilda. I guess Liv and Gilda never crossed paths in S1 and doesn't realize she's Vaughn's secretary....ahh the drama!
Oh and Major, yeah guess where he's working now?  Max Rager! His position? Senior VP of Zombie "retirement". Vaughn discovers Majors newly inherited ability to identify zombies hiding among the living and uses his feelings for Liv as leverage to get Major to terminate all the zombies on Vaughns naughty list.
With the zombie genre really becoming over saturated iZombie is a refreshing take on the whole undead craze and season 2 starts off strong!

Fail The Walking Dead

Well that was ultimately under whelming and unsatisfying. I'm surprised FTWD got picked up for a second season, the show suffered from a multitude of problems in my opinion, a cast of uninteresting characters that didn't offer a reason to give a shit about them, Travis Manawa, a High School English Lit teacher who is divorced now with a new woman (who happens to be a guidance counselor at the same school).Madison Clark, a single mother of two teenagers Alicia and Nick, the latter a lying, conniving drug addict that has the same moral compass as Golum (he'll last while).Travis's own son hates him and Alicia and Nick have no respect for him.
Then there's Travis's ex wife Liza she's busting her ass to raise Chris and put her self thru nursing school...ooh we have a character that has a medical background maybe we'll get some info on the virus!
Nope!
How about Chris Manawa??? Why do I care about him? Unlike puddin lovin' Carl I really couldn't find a reason to care for Christopher.
And then there's Nick's sister Alicia....she's smart, attractive and seems genuinely normal. Alicia is totally drama free and seems to be handling the end of days rather well.
Then there's the barber of El Salvador, Daniel Salazar he's about the only character I thought could survive in the real Walking Dead show, interestingly enough he seemed like the polar opposite of Hershel, a nice old man who loves his family...he lets Travis stay in his shop similarly to how Hershel let Rick and company stay on his farm.
For me the show finally showed some promise in episode 5 where we meet the most interesting man in FTWD...Strand the well maintained gentleman who shared a cage with one of Travis's neighbors....remember the overweight one Travis was sent in to talk to? I loved how Strand ever so calmly deconstructed the poor guy who was on the verge to begin with and then bartered to save Nick when they were about to take him away by giving the Colonel his cuff links. What he said to Nick afterwards felt so prophetic considering the hellhole we know the world is going to become, almost as if he knew it was going to happen!

And I know when he suggested heading west instead of east into the desert my friend Krogenar's interest piqued... And when he let Nick look thru the telescope out to sea I could hear Krogenar jumping up and down yelling triumphantly at the TV...congrats Krogenar....but Strands plan is going to fail, I don't know how but I suspect Kirkman is gonna sink Strands plans....
Aside from the weak characters another problem was we all know where the show is headed and the trama and drama that Travis and his "family" faced felt insignificant compared to the fucked up shit Rick and his "family" has gone thru.
The one thing I was really hoping FTWD was going to bring that TWD hasn't touched upon much since S1 was some hints about the virus! The opportunity was certainly there with Liza and Dr. Exner, but alas nothing...quite disappointing.
So after this six episode run I really can't honestly say there's anything that's gonna make me want to watch Season 2 of FTWD.

Fear the Walking Dead My Thoughts and Impressions as of S1 E3

K
So we're now three episodes in and last nights had some decent tension, knowing where the world is headed from here makes watching the Clark family playing monopoly oddly unnerving knowing there are walkers lurking right outside.
The funny thing was I found myself putting each character in FTWD from Madison, Alicia and Nick Clark (Johnny Depp Clone) to Daniel Salazar and his barbershop familia in Rick Grimes family and only 2 members of Fear might survive....
I say Nick Clark and Daniel Salazar would survive in Rick's world which they are about to enter.....Maybe Liza Ortiz...Travis' ex wife.
Speaking of which, if no one has noticed yet FTWD has basically flipped the triangle...instead of 2 guys 1 mother...Rick, Shane and Lori. We now have 2 mothers 1 guy...Madison, Liza and Travis. I don't think we're gonna have a ctrl C, ctrl V situation in FTWD with Madison and Liza but I have no doubt there will be drama! Travis my man play it cool and you could be the first man with a post apocalyptic harem!
Also we still don't know a fucking thing about this "virus", but if you were paying attention it's already affected 11 states as of the 3rd episode...what ever caused this moves fast!
One of the things I enjoy discussing with my wife and friends is what would you do in the (__X character's__) situation?
If I were Travis, I definitely would rethink staying till morning...there will definitely be more traffic the next day! And why would you head east into a desert???? I know this show is a great deal of biblical references but I don't think wandering the desert for 40 years to wait out the zombie apocalypse is gonna grab the ratings. Personally I think Krogenar's got the right idea, become apocalyptic pirates! Commandeer a large yacht from some 1%er and head out to the high seas! YAAAARRR!

The Walking Dead S5E13 :Forget

Great episode last night! I found it so fascinating how after all these years of watching this show I found it as bizarre as Rick's group found it.
Interesting how we see Rick and his group in a heroic light when they're "out there", but when placed in a normal domestic atmosphere they come across in a very different light! To the good people of Alexandria Sasha must come across as slightly unhinged but I totally understand why she's behaving the way she is. These people are talking about crock pot recipes and acting like everything is fine but Sasha knows......SHE KNOWS! I loved her Charlton Heston Planet of the Apes moment.

Buttons the horse, wild and free, no one will ever catch you....never break you...a great metaphor for the group's domestication in Alexandria and more likely than not foreshadowing of things to come.
When was the last time Rick got laid? Season 1? I think Rick just broke out of Jesse's friend zone with that kiss...
So now Rick is pulling a Shane and crushing on someone else's wife. I'm really unsure about Jesse's husband, Pete, he came across as a "porch-dick" last week and this week he seemed like a totally normal guy. I think we may have another Ed Peletier (Carol's dead husband) on our hands.
Speaking of Carol...best bed time story teller ever! SCarol even creeped me the F out poor Augustus Gloop must've shat himself!!! I think Carol may be inadvertently cock blocking Rick...

This episode was chock full of apocalyptic hilarity, take Daryl and Aaron for instance, they are the apocalyptic odd couple! Last nights episode took place on a tuesday....know how I know?? Aaron was serving SPAGHETTI!!!
Anyone see Enid at the party last night? Yeah neither did I.
Lessons I learned from last night's episode
~ You can make chocolate chip cookies with appy sauce
~ If you're out of Squirrel, Snake and Possum...spaghetti will suffice
~ Katana's make great wall art
~ apparently animals that get bit by walkers don't turn
~ Daryl deserves an undead black stallion!
~ NEVER tattle on Carol!

The Walking Dead S5 E63 Remember

I'd like to start this off with a childhood friend I remember who would welcome Rick's family into his neighborhood much the way Deanna did last night...Mr Rodgers!

Unlike last weeks episode this week I actually have some thoughts to share...
First off as a former Sheriff I'm kinda shocked Rick doesn't sense Alexandria has some issue! I shouldn't say that because he did, when he questions Deanna's reasoning for opening their gates to a group as feral looking as are. As a politician she aptly diverts the conversation just enough to avoid telling Rick their problem....
I loved watching the recordings of the interviews, especially Carol's!!! She is masterful at spy work! I love how she fed Deanna the whole mother hen story, agrees to bake for the ol folks, and then at the end she tells Rick this place will make us weak! Damn Carol you are one smart survivor! Daryl had me laughing with the possum, it obvious he's not feeling this place at all, and Glenn he's showing signs of PTSD....he needs Alexandria, Michonne wants Alexandria, the rest we'll see in the following weeks.
Rick and the group find the luxuries of running hot water, throw pillows and video games and the shit we take for granted in our every day lives unnerving. The people of Alexandria go about their daily lives as if the horrors beyond the walls doesn't exist....and this is exactly what Carl and Carol mean when they tell Rick that this place will make them weak.
Things of note, the girl Carl meets, Enid, jumping the wall obviously doesn't want to be spotted....why? Where did she disappear to? to the 3 excommunicated residents?

And who took Ricks pistol with the J on it (we all know what thats for....shudders)
Oh dangit someone took the walker I chained up, I absolutely loved the scene where Glenn fuckin shut down Aiden,
A:"You're not ready for runs yet"
G: "pretty sure you got that backwards"
Fuck yeah Glenn!
And Daryl pacing like Darth Maul HELL YEAH!
Obviously Alexandria doesn't know who they're dealing with!

Let's review:
S1 CDC....blown up
S2 Hershels Farm....over run by walkers
S3 Prison/ Woodbury...War
S4 Prison/Terminus...canibals!
S5 Alexandria.....sorry I'm not holding out much hope here....

The Walking Dead S5 E61: Them

Hi Ho, hi ho, hi ho it's off to DC we go.
So last episode Rick agreed to go to Washington DC as it was their best bet to finding a possible safe community for the group.
This week the groups exodus shows they are out of energy, supplies and hope as they stagger along trailed by a herd of walkers. Without the energy to fight rick devises a plan to dispatch them with little exertion, the plan goes south when Sasha goes Rambo on the undead with no consideration of the group. Maggie is also struggling to find a reason to continue after Beth's death at the hospital.
Glenn tells Maggie she must continue to fight and not give up because of despair, Abraham tries to console Sasha but she basically tells him to STFU. Later in the barn father Gabriel al;so tries to comfort Maggie and she ever so sutly reminds him that he left his parish to perish...
Morale is at an all time low and Daryl goes off the road to look for water....the only water Daryl finds is the tears flowing from his eyes....you know shits real if Daryl's crying like a bitch. The group comes across a Poland spring supply drop from "a friend". With obvious skepticism the don't drink it even though it must've looked like filet mignon to someone stranded on a deserted island. Eugene decides to be the sacrificial lamb and goes to take a swig and of all people Abraham knocks it away. Serious? I would've let him drink it!
Suddenly the sky's open up and it starts pouring rain......coincidence or divine intervention? Daryl tells them he spotted a barn close by.  Rick and a few other sit around a fire pit and Rick gives the worst motivational speech about the only way to survival this world is to to wake up and believe they're dead....that they are the walking dead. Daryl tells him he's full of malarkey and then the 3 wise men visit the barn with Gold, Frankincense and Mir....ok it just another horde of Walkers. the group unite to form Voltron in the barn to keep the walkers out. In the morning Maggie and Sasha celebrate the moments of their lives....

but the moment is ruined when a model from lands end stumbles upon their "shared moment".

The Walking Dead S5 E60 What Happened and What's Going On Recap

You know what you can't do with a hammer?
Amputate an arm....
Most unsuccessful road trip ever!
Survived Woodbury and the Guvnr,
Survived the plaque in the Prison,
Survived the battle at the prison against the Guvnr,
Survived baby sitting Lizzie, Mika and  Judith
Throughout his time on the show Tyresse stayed true to himself, he didn't let the world around him change him.
After all that Ty get's bit by a kid who got a time out for becoming a walker. WHAT!? Personally I would've let Noah go in the house first.....
I really enjoyed how we got to witness what Tyresse saw as the fever took over him. It was basically the devil (The Guvnr & Martin) on one shoulder and an angel ( Beth, Bobby, Lizzy & Mika ) on the other. And I never gave up on ya big guy even though you got bit TWICE in the same spot. I knew Dr. Michonne was gonna amputate that bad arm and when she did was I the only one who was hoping for Tyresse to get the Ash upgrade???

Aside from losing Tyresse the biggest thing that happened in this episode is we're out of Georgia!!!! The road trip brought Rick, Michonne, Glenn, Tyresse and Noah to Virginia to fulfill Beth's dying wish.
We're only a hundred miles away from DC folks we're going to the Capitol!
I just find it a little odd that the first 4 seasons the group couldn't find their way out of a wet paper bag and all of a sudden Rick becomes Lewis and Clark of the apocalyptic trail.

The Walking Dead S5E8 Coda

Obviously officer Lamson hasn't seen Chris Rock's PSA video on how not to get your ass kicked by the police....
If Rick Grimes has to come get ya, you know he's bringing an ass kickin' with him!
Rick Grimes "I have a 480 in progress, I'm in pursuit"
I love how Rick so calmly says to Lamson "you didn't stop"
Then we get an awesome 420 Cop V Cop all out brawl between officer Dawn and officer O'Donnel that concludes with Beth performing a fatality on officer O'Donnel.

FINISH HIM!!!

Ya know what's more dangerous than an honest cop?
A psycho female cop on the rag!
So Rick heads to the hospital with his team to go thru with the hostage exchange and it looks like we're gonna reach the mid season on a happy note, but Dawn alters the deal at the last minute saying Noah can't go since she's giving Beth and Carol back, and Beth gets all up in Dawns face and tries to make a point with a pair of operating scissors....Dawns gun goes off and Beth takes one to the dome!
Daryl avenges Beth by bustin' a cap in Dawn's cranium.
Surprisingly shit did not get real after that!
That scene caught me off guard and I'm sad Beth died, she was just starting to grow on me!
And seeing Emily Kinney on Talking Dead afterwards was very sad!
RIP Beth

The Walking Dead S5E4 Slabtown

While Rick and the gang are on their religious retreat with Father Gabe and Abe, Rosita, Eugine and the rest of Z troop are on their rescue 911 road trip we finally catch up with Beth....ya remember her....Maggie's sister...
So while everyone else has been fighting to not be eaten by cannibals or bit by Walkers Beth wakes up in a soft hospital bed with clean sheets fresh scrubs and is surrounded by cops and a doctor! Beth has access to medicine, clean water yummy gerbils, so what's the problem? Well for starters Officer Dawn Lerner basically run's the hospital like some credit card companies, you're debt...being rescued or captured (however you want to look at it) whether you want be or not....the princiiple might seem within reach but the interest will keep you paying FOREVER! And if you're deemed valueless you get the shaft...literally! EXPRESS ELEVATOR TO HELL, GOING DOWN!
It's hard to keep the officers morale up when there's nothing but death and destruction every direction you look in, which leads me to problem number two...
You better be a master at a trade that isn't already taken in this hospitable because those who have a job at Shady Memorial will do ANYTHING to keep it, and if you don't have "skills" you might find yourself  sucking Officer Gormans'                                                          lolipop

What?
What'd you think I was going to say?
Good Episode, all the fresh faces were a nice change of pace, Beth's struggle reminded be ALOT of baby doll's struggle in Sucker Punch!
Remember Beth if you don't believe in something, you'll fall for anything.

The Walking Dead S5E3 Four Walls and a Roof

TAINTED MEAT!!!!
Who didn't see that coming?
I was never a big fan of Bobby Stookey, his character never seemed useful to the group. What exactly did he do? As a former Army medic you'd think he'd have been more useful than he ended up being.
Oh well good riddance...

This season has now zigged twice when I thought it was going to zag, first the brevity of the time spent at Terminus and second the length of time Gareth was a threat to Rick and the gang.
Remember how Rick killed Tomas in season 3 as they were trying to clear the prison? Sunday's massacre was pretty much the same, it was the location that made the scene controversial.
Hey Rick....Shane approves of your actions.....
I have a feeling we're gonna see Rick and the group find themselves in a very similar situation as Gareth and the Termites by season's end...in regards to food.
So Glenn, Maggie and Tara join Abraham, Rosita and Eugene on the greatest road trip of all time and leave Rick with Michonne, Carl, Tyresse, Sasha and Father Gabe....not exactly a fair trade. If Father Gabe had viles of Holy Water that set Walkers aflame like in the CastleVania games that would be a different story but as it stands Father Gabes' stats are:
STR: 3
DEX: 1
INT:5
CHR: 0
HTH: The Power of Christ!

Thankfully Daryl returns to the group with a mystery person! Well it's most likely not Carol or Beth, maybe Morgan or maybe someone else from season 1....the Morales Family.
I'm looking forward to next weeks episode, I need to know if Beth's yellow polo shirt is safe!

The Walking Dead Season 5 SDCC trailer

Ughh 2 and a half more months still!
Somehow Carol and Tyresse are gonna save the group but not before they get some good ol fashioned as whoopins! God my faith in humanity is fairly low now but in this apocalyptic future I'm starting to think maybe we should just say fuck it, the remnants of humanity are all A-holes except our merry little fellowship.
Anyway season 5 should be titled TWD: roadtrip to DC! They should try taking a short cut and get to a bridge and "jump it" only to have all 4 wheels fall off and as they're walking away the car blows up!
I've watched the trailer enough times to say I've got a bad feeling about Daryl....
I think the excellent adventures of Bobby Stookey come to an end in Terminus at the hands of Gareth, oh well.
And Beth! Beth you're ALIVE and apparently in incarceration for J walking or something, I'm actually relieved you aren't a burger at Terminus' annual BBQ cook off!

The Walking Dead S4E13 Alone

Dam Daryl just can't catch a break! It's as if anyone who Daryl befriends dies...Merle, Sophia, baby Judith (as far as he knows), now Beth! Ah the symbolism as Daryl collapses in the middle of an intersection....
As mentioned I haven't read the graphic novels but I can't believe I'm the only one seeing the warning signs, black birds circling above, broken arrows, resting in a funeral home, IN A CASKET!!
If Daryl dies I'll be PISSED! The man gets trapped in a basement in a funeral home and manages to sneak through their legs and escape!
The confrontation at the end of the episode did note leave me with a very warm and fuzzy feeling...Daryl meets Joe who evicted Rick two episodes prior.
I feel like the entire group is within shouting range of each other and just don't realize it.
Oh yeah we also got to see what Bobby was doing prior to meeting our rag tag fellowship....ok so moving on, Maggie leaves Sasha And Bobby, then Bobby leaves Sasha to find Maggie and Terminus but Sasha finds Maggie sleeping with a bunch of Walkers then the two catch up with Bobby....I'm so relieved, I have to tell ya I was on the back of my seat.
PLEASE KILL BOBBY STOOKEY....I'd rather have undead T-Dog than this dude.
Next week Tyresse and Lizzie play I spy until undead Sir Topemhat shows up. Check out the moobs

The Walking Dead S4E12 Still Recap

This week Daryl and Beth do their best trunk monkey impressions.
And Daryl's new code name is Snake Eater!

Unlike last weeks episode that focused on Michonne, Carl and Rick vs Walkers and bed intruders, last nights episode had a heavy focus on Beth and Daryl and where they are mentally and emotionally and where they came from.
I really enjoyed watching these two polar opposites find some (un)common ground to create the oddest couple next to Tyresse, Carol, and Lizzie.
The acting in this episode was superb, Norman Reedus was absolutely phenomenal! I believed this was a man struggling with some serious demons and also having to find the emotional strength to protect someone he had absolutely nothing in common with.
Emily Kinney FINALLY got a chance to show the world Beth can be so much more than a red shirt, Beth began showing real survival skills....she is paired with the most likely to be the last man standing and she actually says that to him in this episode which seems to be the popular opinion...

I really liked the scene where they burn down the "house" they were hiding in at the end! It had the same emotional ooomph as the scene in Forest Gump when Jenny returns to the house of her childhood and begins throwing rocks at the house....so far of all the characters who've found reasons to continue to fight to live Daryl's was the most profound!
Excellent episode!
Tune in next week when Maggie, Sasha and Bobby roll the fattest J and get high as a kite but them damn walkers crash the party!

The Walking Dead S4 E11 Claimed recap

So Rick and Michonne try the cinnamon challenge at their new diggs, Michonne gets cheezy with Carl on a supply run, Rick tries to gets some rest but is rudely awoken by intruders! Someone call Antoine Dodson!

Glenn wakes up in the back of a strange truck with Tara....Maggie's gonna be pissed!
Glenn grows a pair and cold clocks WWE's Sheamus sorry....Abraham Ford.

OK so Glenn's been asleep in a troop transport vehicle probably going at aprox 55 MPH for 3 hours, how many miles does Glenn need to walk to get back to the cheese bus of the dead???
165 miles X the average walking speed of an adult human which is aprox 3 MPH = 495hrs!
Glenn, Tara, Abraham and the gang  are gonna pull a Summer School and show up on the final episode of TWD and everyone's gonna be like who da fuq???OOOOHHHHH YEEAH.
Oh and I'm calling Bravo Sierra on mullet man having the solution to the zombie apocalypse..
All in all a rather dull episode IMO

Check out the preview for next Sundays episode "Still"
If Daryl dies we revolt!!!

The Walking Dead S4E45 Inmates Recap

Ya know how in Star Wars multiple events are happening at the same time Luke V Vader on DS, Han on Endor, Lando in the Falcon attacking the DS....well last nights episode felt a little like that. And the order is also scrambled so what we see Daryl and Beth doing actually came later than the events of Tyresse, Lizzy, and Mika
Daryl's all down in the dumps because Fortress Rickimus fell while he was the top dog on the counsel. And now he's stuck in the woods with "Oh Mah Gawd Diary" Beth.....personally if I were in Daryl's shoes I'd be like good luck with that tracking Beth, and then go hunt me some wabbit....cause we know they're out there.
Speaking of Wabbit, Bugs better stay in his hole when Lizzy comes around! So the burning question of baby ass kicker was finally answered and Tyresse saves the day! This was the most cringe worthy part of the episode for me....Tyresse = worst guardian angel in the zombie apocalypse! For instance in most horror flicks it's the white people that decide to go investigate a scary noise or blood curdling scream while the black guy usually does the smart thing and runs the opposite way....not Tyresse, he leaves a crying infant to two little girls, one happens to be a sociopath! Speaking of Lizzy.....worst baby sitter in the zombie apocalypse....she would not fare well on Angie's list....just sayin. Thank God Carol shows up....oooooh holy awkward moment Batman!
Next up is Maggie, Sasha and Bobby....first off I'm not a fan of Bobby, he just comes off as weird to me, Sasha seems to have gotten ris of her case of koxocknee fever and is determined to get the three of them back with the others but Maggie has a different agenda, find Glenn. And Bobby, well he's just along for the ride like Forest Gump it seems. So they find the bus and apparently everyone had a transfer for Zombieville...except Glenn! Where is that sickly pizza delivery boy!?
Why he's still at Fortress Rickimus!! Unlike Sasha he's still weak from koxocknee fever so he decides to take a nap until he spies a pic of Maggie and that's his motivation to keep going, he grabs his riot gear and some supples and runs head first into a crowd of zombies....I have a problem with this! This is not Glenn's style in S1 he was all Solid Snake style sneaking around avoiding the zombies, now he's charging head first into them...the vajayjay makes us do some crazy shit sometimes....
As Glenn breaks through he spots Tara in her own fortress of solitude, tells her straight up he's gonna use her to get back to his group, then passes out after fending off some walkers from the prison and Tara protects him. She is then confronted by 3 strangers Abraham Ford, Eugene Porter and Rosita Espinosa...I haven't read the graphic novels so I don't know a thing about these 3 which is fine.
And I'm hoping we get some fresh clues to the origin of the virus....I'm guessing it's either an airborn pathogen or milk.
Oh one last thing, point me in the direction of a place named Terminus and I'll do a 180 and take my chances!

The Walking Dead S4E44 After recap

Reunited and it feels so good...
Carl...if ya didn't hate him before last night you probably do now!
As much as I dislike the character Carl, Chandler Riggs did a great job portraying a young man coming of age and rebelling against his father. The venom Carl spat at Rick last night felt genuine and honest, seeing him walk ahead of his father as they fled the prison reminded me of myself at that age when walking with my mother.
The scene's with Carl roaming around the burbs, scavenging for supply's totally felt like the 6th chapter of The Last of Us, the Suburbs, where Joel, Ellie, Sam and Henry walk through a neighborhood with very similar houses.
Going into the second half of the season I was wondering what Michonne's motivation to keep going would be after Andrea's death, Hershell's death and the Governor death....but after last night I was glad to see she found her reason to live! I was happy to get a glimpse of her past also which gave the character a little more definition. Seeing her just blending in with that cluster of walkers was a great way of symbolizing how close she had come to becoming walking dead...metaphorically.
I think the one's who are able to let go of the past will survive, those who keep "looking back" will join the walking dead.
The scene where Rick "wakes up".....saw that coming a mile away. And there are days that's how I get out of bed!
Lastly someone get Danai Gurira and JJ Abrams in a room together! She would make one BADASS Sith!
Next week is the Beth and Daryl survivor show!
