Street Fighter Derezzed

Capcom's Street Fighter Franchise has inspired many artists from Udon to the casual artists on deviant art and those cooky cos players as well. I've been a huge fan of the franchise since Ryu wore red slippers and I have seen some real fantastic and creative work lately like the recent Street Fighter-zombie mashup. But the work from BossLogic is so amazing it should be put in the next Capcom art book! Street Fighter X Tron!!!!

Here's the music video for Daft Punk's Derezzed, one of the songs featured in Disney's upcoming Tron Legacy. This song has been used to promote the movie in an earlier released video. The song is aweome and the movie it's tied to looks very promising.

Come December 17th we will see, I am still on the fence with this one...it has potential.

SDCC10: Tron Legacy Trailer

I was 9 when the original Tron hit theaters, and I haven't seen it since. At the time the special effects were ground breaking, the story although cheesey was actually quite innovative and a bit ahead of it's time considering the technology at that time.
If you read a plot synopsis of 1982's Tron you can see strong similarities to movie's today like Gamer, The Matrix, Surogates, Avatar and others.
Basically Jeff Bridges is the first person to play an online game! He became an avatar of his RL persona!
I don't expect Tron Legacy to be as revolutionary as the original but the recently released trailer does look exciting.
