While Uncle Paulie's away I'll post this for him, cause I know he's as much of a fan of Star Trek as I am of Star Wars....makes for some enjoyable conversations.
Of all the different series in the franchise TNG was my favorite. I tried to get into DS9 but it just wasn't able to grab my interest and hold on to it and Janeway.....well that show was lost before she was for me. I kinda liked Enterprise for a bit but again I lost interest....
I really hope Picard reignites my interest with fascinating stories and quality character development not hollow fan service and SJW agenda's!!!
What if amazing worlds of Star Wars and Star Trek were to face off in the most epic galactic battle of all time?
Even though having big screen battles is all the rage lately, from Batman vs Superman to Captain America vs Iron Man, this year has seen two of the biggest blockbuster battles. Plus, we still have Godzilla vs King Kong coming in a few years. However, even though there are plenty of franchise crossovers happening, it’s pretty much a 110% guarantee that we’ll never see Star Wars vs Star Trek in movie theaters. But we can imagine what it would be like thanks to this cleverly edited new fan trailer where the two popular sci-fi franchises collide in the most epic way possible.
Still, when viewed together, rather than as competing science-fiction properties, it’s easy to get excited about what creative storytellers could do with Star Wars and Star Trek together in a single storyline.

The Story of Star Trek: Axanar
“Axanar” takes place 21 years before the events of “Where no Man Has Gone Before”, the first Kirk episode of the original Star Trek. Axanar is the story of Garth of Izar, the legendary Starfleet captain who is Captain Kirk’s hero. Kirk himself called Garth the model for all future Starfleet Officers. Garth charted more planets than any other Captain and was the hero of the Battle of Axanar, the story of which is required reading at the academy. This is that story.
“Axanar” tells the story of Garth and his crew during the Four Years War, the war with the Klingon Empire that almost tore the Federation apart. Garth’s victory at Axanar solidified the Federation and allowed it to become the entity we know in Kirk’s time.
It is the year 2245, four years into the war with the Klingons.
By now most of you have seen the new Star Trek trailer, I'm not a huge fan of the franchise but I'll tell ya one thing, it's obvious why they wanted JJ Abrams, the franchise needs a jump start and who better than him, with shows like Lost, and Fringe, the guy seems to know what we want to see.
The trailer was cool but Winona Ryder as Spocks Mom???? And John Cho (Harold) as Sulu….meh.It’ll be cool to see Capt. Pike before the futuristic motorized wheelchair! I’m still on the fence with this one, I think Trekkies will enjoy it for all the trek universe fanservice, but it doesn’t look as intelligent or emotional as TNG.
