Merry Christmas to all 3 of you that read my blog

Hey kids hope you have a Merry Christmas...if you don't get EVERYTHING you wanted, try and understand....Santa is a blue collar guy, he's been doing Christmas for a long time and these last couple years the economy has sucked pretty hard. Alotta elves are on the dol (ask your parents) and 2 is the new 5 in the workforce so poor Rudolf is pulling the slack for Dasher, Dancer Vixen and Blitzen.
Santa knows you've been a good boy but the 1% don't care how good you are, no Christmas miracle is gonna help stop their greed!
So if you didn't get your Red Rider BB gun this year, be merry for the stuff we too often take for granted, your family, a roof over your head a warm bed to dream about sugar plumes  in, and all that good food your probably shoving in your face.
You know the best Christmas gift you can give your folks this year? A simple "Thankyou".
Now if you'll excuse me I have to get back to taking the ribbon off my brand new Nissan GTR :)

FFXIV Levequests & Party Combat Video @ version

The more I think about it, the more I think if this version of FFXIV turns out to be good it could essentially extend the PS3's life by at least a year and a half....just enough time for those who won't be transitioning to the PS4 on launch week/month /year....just enough time for the PS4's first price cut....

Man of Steel Official Trailer

Now that is how you make a trailer! If you're not sold that this is will be the movie that Returns Superman ;) to the iconic figure he was when we first saw Christopher Reeve fly away from the fortress of solitude as children nothing will convince you! I honesty believe this movie will return The Man of Steel to represent Truth, Justice and the American way...not just all that stuff.
Kudos to Mike for the heads up on the trailer!

CastleVania Lords of Shadow 2 Trailer

That is not Robert Carlyle's voice in this trailer, is it? It certainly sounded different, not very powerful....maybe that is intentional based on the dialog but I wasn't feeling the voice.
Other than that the game seems to be coming together, I wonder what members of the Belmont clan will be hunting Gabriel? Simon perhaps. Since this series is considered a reboot I suppose we can thrown continuity out the window....

The Last of Us Story Trailer

Darn I missed the VGA's again this year....oh well.
The trailer for The Last ofUs that debuted on Spike's VGA's is now available. The game is simply amazing looking and is in my day 1 purchases....speaking of day 1, that will be 5/7/13.
2013 is looking very strong for Sony!

Oblivion Trailer

Last week Krogenar mentioned he saw a trailer for a new Sci Fi movie with Tom Cruise, I'm no fan of Cruise....he's very hit or miss with me (Jerry McGuire/Knight and Day). But I was curious and just last night the trailer hit the web....I'm not sold on it but asthetically it looks interesting...

Street Fighter X Mega Man Announced by Capcom Unity

The poor Blue Bomber has had a rough year, with the cancellation of MMU, Keiji Inafune leaving Capcom and the outrage caused by Mega Mans appearance in SFXT....ouch that was rough!
But as 2012 and SF25th comes to a close we look to the future and the 25th anniversary of Mega Man!
Capcom just announced something very cool Street Fighter X Mega Man!
Looks like Wily is finally locked up good and tight....but I wouldn't be surprised is he's behind this...
Street Fighter X Mega Man will be available December 17th FREE via Capcom Unity's Mega Man Brand page.

Fringe S5 E95 The Human Kind Recap

Fridays episode The Human Kind was a decent episode, the episode really showed Olivia's strength...mentally and emotionally. She just lost her daughter a second time, she's losing Peter to the Observer implant in his brain and they're no closer to defeating the Observers than they were at the start of Walters wild goose chase, but she hunkers down and focuses on the mission.
The highlight for me was the cat and mouse between Peter and Windmark that culminated in the fight in the warehouse.
My only gripe with the episode was how in God's name did Olivia find Peter in all of Manhattan after securing the electromagnet!? I loved the scene, it was powerful and rang true....and didn't feel cheesy at all.
I understand, story-wise, the significance of Peter removing the observer tech himself but it just made me scratch my head and think...."that can't be safe! He can't see what he's doing. Maybe you should let Olivia do that..."

Happy Thanksgiving!

Today we celebrate Thanksgiving a day Native Americans and Pilgrims sat together in peace and harmony and ate Perdue or Shady Brook Farms oven buster Turkeys, Cranberry sauce that slid out of the can like dog food, Stuffing made with at least 2 whole sticks of Land O' Lakes Butter, Mashed Potatoes, Stuffed Mushrooms,  Enteman's Coconut Custard Pie and washed it down with a frosty Sam Adams or Milwaukee's Best. Then the Native American and pilgrim men rolled themselves into the living room to watch football or play Modern Warfare3 while the women cleaned the kitchen.
Later the fella's sliped into a food coma while the women sat around in the kitchen and complained incessantly....
And thus an American holiday was born!

Movie Review: The Man with the Iron Fists

Any fan of old school Kung Fu movies and anime are in for a treat with The Man with the Iron Fists!
Anyone familiar with films such as Ninja Scroll, Afro Samurai, Game of Death, Master of the Flying Guilotine, Crippled Masters and many other Kung Fu films from the 70's
The story revolves around the blacksmith of jungle village, and a struggle for power amongst the local clans, Lion, Wolf, Hyena and a plot to steal  a convoy of government gold passing thru Jungle Village. If that doesn't sound incredibly similar to Ninja Scroll, TMwtIF also has a mercenary named Brass Body whose skin turns to brass when struck....in Ninja Scroll Tessai is one of the 8 devils of Kimon and is a very large man whose skin can turn to stone...
The characters are so cliched yet I believe this was purposefully done to show respect to the genre this movie is inspired by.
There is very little originality in The Man with the Iron Fists but it is still entertaining.
Usually I prefer less "hollywood" figures in my movies but Russel Crow as Jack knife and Lucy Liu as Madam Blossom are actually very welcome in TMwtIF as they bring familiar faces to an otherwise almost unknown cast.
RZA did a great job choosing his cast as they all bring something enjoyable to the movie, and they all seem to have enjoyed making it....none of the cast appeared to be going through the motions for an easy paycheck.
As stated I did enjoy the movie but it is far from perfect, first the movie never settles on whether it wants to be taken seriously ie Enter the Dragon or be a comedy ie Kung Fu Hustle.....it sort of hovers between the two. Next the films budget really shows itself in some sets while others are well designed.
My biggest issue was the fight scenes....some were just poorly choreographed or perhaps the camera should've been at a wider angle as to better capture the scenes with the multitude of characters on the screen....I did enjoy the Gemini vs Lion clan battle at the Dragon Inn and the final battle in the Pink Blossom with the Black Widows and the Lion Clan, Lucy Liu was fantastic and demonstrates why she was ideal for the role!
I also want to give props to Byron Mann as Silver Lion, he really brought a charisma and fun quirkiness to the character which I liked but also created a bit of an imbalance in the movie as mentioned earlier.
I know there is ALOT of the movie on the cutting room floor, in fact enough to have made 2 movies! Personally I wish they had done that so the story didn't feel so rushed at the end and the events didn't feel so on top of themselves and most importantly I think if they had split it into two films RZA's characters back ground story would've worked immensely better at the start of the second movie instead of smack in the middle of this one totally destroying the movies flow and focus.
Check your brain at the door and enjoy The Man with the Iron Fists for what it is, an homage to Kung Fu and Anime classics.
Oh yeah one last thought.....of all the weapons the blacksmith could've forged for himself he goes with.....iron fists.....really? O.o

GTA V: Trailer 2

GTA IV was so over hyped, but R* has put out some truly amazing games is generation including RDR and LA Noir. I think it was inevitable that GTA V was going to have multiple main characters with interweaving story lines.

Movie Review: Skyfall

Daniel Craig returns for his third outing as Commander Bond in Skyfall.
In many ways this film felt much more akin to Casino Royal in it's pacing and scope.
Just as Casino Royale was a  reintroduction to Bond and was a more personal story about James Bond, Sky Fall's focus is mainly on M and MI6.
Throughout the movie we are told that the old ways of doing things are outdated....no need for exploding pens when we can get the same results from a few clicks of a mouse....

For me the theme of Skyfall was the old school  vs technology which brings us to Istanbul Turkey where Bond is tasked with retrieving a hard drive  that contains the identities of undercover MI6 agents throughout the world from an assassin.
In Skyfall M (Judi Dench) faces harsh criticism from Gareth Mallory, (Ralph Fiennes) the Chairman of the Intelligence and Security Committee for the the loss of the hard drive, costing the lives of multiple operatives, the attack on MI6 HQ as well as her continued support for the cloak and dagger shadowy espionage operations.
This time around Bond isn't uncovering a sinister plot by an evil organization to control natural resources or something so grandiose, no, this time the threat is much closer to home. The villain is a former MI6 agent Raoul Silva (Javier Bardem) who's target is M. Bond returns to active duty after hearing about the attacks on MI6 and it is apparent he has lost his edge.

This theme isn't new and was done well in Live Free or Die Hard, in fact the motives of both films villains; Thomas Gabriel and Raoul Silva are revenge against their former employers via hacking their systems are almost identical.

I really enjoyed Skyfall,  I understand there are many people who don't like Daniel Craig as James Bond, and that's fine you can keep your invisible cars, laser wrist watches and witty one liners, I prefer my flawed Bond that'll kill his enemies with his hands just as easily as his Walther PPK.

One of the great things about Skyfall is we see the continued evolution of Daniel Craig's Bond in Skyfall, he's not as brash as he was in Casino Royal, but when pushed he will resort to use what ever means necessary to complete the mission including his apparent fondness for construction vehicles.
By far Skyfall is one of the most beautiful Bond movies to watch, the sets are a delight to behold such as the vibrant neon colors in the Shanghai scene, the ferry boat ride in Macau, to the unforgettable scene of the Skyfall estate burning in the night sky.

Skyfall is as much about Bond as it is about M, Judi Dench has a significantly increased amount of screen time in Skyfall compared to the previous 6 Bond films she's been in. This is due to her character being the epi-center of the controversy and Raoul Silva's motive for his actions.
I liked Bardem's character, he was defiantly a more threatening villain than Dominic Greene from Quantum of Solace. Of the three Craig Bond films to date I still prefer Le Chiffre over all.
I enjoyed the dialog between Bond and Silva on the deserted island base, it was reminiscent of the torture scene in Casino Royale. And when Bond told Silva it wasn't his first time while sitting in the chair I laughed out loud....my wife missed the reference:/
The story became even more enjoyable after Bond apprehends Silva and brings him back for interrogation and discovers the truth about his identity and relationship to M. From this point on the story becomes very fascinating as Bond has to be thinking "Am I just another pawn to M like Silva?" So now M finds herself cornered by Parliament,  Silva, and possibly the loyalty of Bond! And Silva realizes this and plays into Bonds insecurities.
Skyfall is a beautiful film and a great Bond movie, definitely worth the cost of seeing at the movie theater!  This movie is definately one worth getting on Blu Ray when it comes out. Great Story, Good Villain, Gorgeous sets, Fantastic performance by Judi Dench, Daniel Craig continues to impress as 007, Strong Supporting cast....everyone feels necessary and well developed regardless of screen time.

Fringe S5 E93 Through the Looking Glass and What Walter Found There Recap

Last nights episode reemphasizes why this show has such a passionate fan base! As usual I'm digesting what I saw last night and altering my theories of how the series is going to conclude and my latest theory is  the infinity loop...
The actions and choices Peter has made since Etta's death lead me to believe that Peter Bishop is the first Observer. With the observer tech in Peters head we see he's able to do things not possible for humans of that time to do. Now that Peter has figured out how to "teleport" what to stop him from traveling throughout time like September and the other Observers are able to do. And if he does figure out how to do that what's to stop him from going back to the point where  Captain Windmark kills Etta....
This episode began to show multiple Splits within the group, Walter realizing he is losing himself to his "original" self since he's   re attached the lobotomized part of his brain, Peters split with himself since he's added the Observer tech in his brain, and the divide that is beginning to show between Olivia and Peter...which is seen at the start of the episode when Peter is watching the hologram of Etta without Olivia, then when she shows up she says I don't want to lose you again (holy fore- shadowing batman!) and at the end when Peter and Olivia are on the monorail sitting apart from each other but facing each other. Great Episode, good character development, plot advancement, with a perfect balance of emotional moments and action. My wife and I love watching Peter beating Observers mentally and physically.
Someone needs to make a Peter Bishop teleport/neck break .gif with the Mortal Kombat "FINISH HIM" fatality text overlay!

Oh yeah then there's this picture I stumbled upon....>O.O<

World War Z Trailer

Ok so here's the first trailer for WWZ....color me unimpressed. I read so many articles from the NYCC showing of the trailer, and everyone hyped this thing up....I'm sorry but the Resident Evil movies suck ( sorry Leeloo) and zombies on 5 hour energy in this trailer....I'm not feeling it. This trailer felt more like a Roland Emerich apocalypse trailer than a zombie movie.
The only one's doing it right are AMC's The Walking Dead and the Reboot of The Evil Dead.
Pass.....

Fringe S5 E93 Through the Looking Glass and What Walter Found There

The last two episodes of Fringe have finally given the show some momentum...I love angry/determined Peter and when he got all up in that observers face my wife and I were totally cheering him on...everyone loves an underdog!  When Peter removed that tech from the observers skull it seemed very irrational and almost out of character for Peter but circumstances being what they are it is believable....I would definately react the same way if I were in his shoes.
Tonights episode looks promising and I can definately see where the writers are going with the parallel situations with Walter and Peter loosing their children.

The Walking dead S2 E23: Killer Within

Last nights episode was absolutely gut wrenching! Pun Intended ;)
Now I haven't read the graphic novels, which I hear are even darker but last nights episode, especially the end with Carl and his mother was so dark and left us in a very bleak and hopeless place.
As I watched Carl and Lori I couldn't imagine how terrible a thing it would be for any child to have to do what he had to do...nightmarish.
Lots to digest in this episode,
RIP T Dawg you went out as a hero! Welcome to the group Oscar, I trust you'll do the right thing. I'm not to crazy about Axel...he's a little too Whiskey Tango for me and seems too cowardly to be more than zombie fodder.
Good to see Hershel up and mobile, we need to retro fit those crutches with some weapons! I'm thinking a shot gun crutch and a battle ax crutch! Hell yeah!
This was a fantastic episode that would get anyone who hasn't watched the show yet hooked!

Transformers Prime S2 E26 Darkest Hour

The season finale of Transformers Prime certainly leaves the autobots in a precarious position. We see Prime relinquish the Omega Keys and all but one of the relics to save Jack, Niko and Raf. Megatron activates the Omega Lock and begins to restore Cybertron, but this is Megatron we're talking about...
Why rule one planet when you can rule Cyberton and New Kaon (cyberized Earth). When the Omega  Lock is rerouted via the Decepticon space bridge to Earth Optimus decides to fight back and destroys the only thing that could've revived Cybertron. Prime and the Autobots then retreat back to their  base on Earth only to discover the affects of the Omega Lock on Earth right in their own back yard in Jasper NV.  A Decepticon fortress looming over the Autobot base with the Decepticon warship hovering above! Prime gives the order to evacuate and as Rachet enters the space bridge the Nemesis fires down upon the Base. In the aftermath Megatron and Starscream survey the ruins of the base as the camera pans away we see the hand of Optimus sticking out of a pile of rubble....
Prime can't catch a break! At the end of season one he uses the Matrix of leadership and looses his memory and is fooled into helping Megatron decode the locations of the relics and now this.
I just prey we don't see a return of Hot Rod/Rodimus Prime.....that was kinda the downfall of the G1 series in my mind. Transformers Prime season 3 begins spring of 2013 and will feature Predaking (combiner hopefully) and the return of Shockwave (AWESOME!) Shockwave and Predaking, the Autobots are focked!

The House that Skywalker built has been sold to a mouse

I still remember as a kid swinging branches around with other kids during recess pretending they were lightsabers, and believing that I could lift stones if I was able to focus hard enough and use the force......
If I only knew then what I know now...
After the prequels I all but accepted that my happy childhood memories were being recalled thru rose tinted glasses.  After the multiple revisions to the OT and various iterations of the Saga VHS/DVD/ Blu ray I thought the saga was complete regardless of the ever present rumors of episodes VII-IX out there in the vaults of Lucas Film buried deep in the Journal of the Whils. I was for all intents and purposes done with that galaxy far far away...
And then day before yesterday my wife shows me a tweet from Ewan Macgregor saying Disney has bought Lucas Film Ltd for 4 Billion Dollars. I scoffed at the tweet saying how do you know that's really Ewan MacGregor.....well that's poodoo on my face!
Seriously....4 Billion Dollars! Holy Sith Lords that's enough money to build a Death Star!
I posted on the Galactic Senate forums that I'm not feeling the hype the way I did back in the late 90's when I first heard about Episode I....before any of us knew what Jar Jar Binks was.
There was a time prior to TPM where I had read the Timothy Zahn EU Thrawn trilogy, and as far as EU novels go they are probably the best suited for an easy transition to film and would fit well with the continuity...actors aside.
But apparently contrary to all of Lucas' vehement denials that there was ever any plans for episodes VII-IX, here we are and the plans for episode VII have been given over to Disney writers, Which begs the question why?
I have a theory but it's grim and I hope I'm way off. Time will tell.

Fringe S5E91 The Bullet That Saved the World Preview

Hey it's Fringe Friday folks and tonight's episode The Bullet That Saved the World  sees the return of old man Broyles and more 80's references!
There's only 9 more episodes and I'm kinda on the fence with the shows momentum, I'm struggling to stay focused....every week I'm hoping for some interesting reveal like we got from the first two seasons...alternate universes, Angry Peter, Walternate and his gang.....something....anything, but all we have so far is tree bark people, jaded Etta, and the mystery of Walters VHS tapes....meh.

Life of PI: Trailer 2

I've seen a few TV spots for Life of PI and wasn't interested, but this trailer got my interest, it reminded me of the Black Stallion. Honestly this trailer showcases this films stunning visuals and gives the impression Life of PI is a hybrid of Fantasia, The Black Stallion, and Castaway....all great films.
Life of PI looks GGGGGrrrreat!

Video Game/Movie Inspiration: Street Fighter Alpha Colosseum Stage

Recently I've been watching alot of kung Fu movies, IP Man, IP Man 2, The Raid Redemption  ....not sure why, maybe because  I'm kinda excited to see The Man with the Iron Fists.
In the original IP man there's a part where a gang comes into the village to challenge the masters of the martial arts schools and in one scene there are a group of students in white Gi's performing what can only be described as the Hadoken move! Very cool! Video Games inspiring Movies. Today I found a clip from The Way of the Dragon where Bruce Lee fights Chuck Norris at the Colosseum and it dawned on me that I had seen this fight before, but not in a movie but  in a video game, Street Fighter Alpha!
Being a fan of Capcom's flagship Fighting Game franchise and fan of Kung Fu films this was a very cool discovery! It's a shame SFA didn't have Fei Long in the roster.
Extra bonus points for even getting the cat in the stage!

Dance in the Vampire Bund

Keeping with the theme of the month (monsters derp) lets talk about another anime I've recently watched, Dance in the Vampire Bund. DitVB falls in the same realm as Twilight and Underworld, Vampires & Lycans romance political intrigue yada yada yada
Unlike Twilight this anime is good!
The story revolves around a high school student named Akira and his relationship with Mina Tepes lord of all Vampires.
This is where the anime becomes a bit controversial...Mina is a pure blood Vampire and is hundreds of years old but she is trapped in in a tween's body and has feelings for Akira her sworn protector.
There are scenes that imply Mina and Akira's friendship is more than just platonic...this is a perfect example of how Japanese and American cultures differ on what is considered "Taboo". Here in America this would be seen as a Teenage boy having sex with a minor....:(
Getting back to the Anime, I liked how the series starts of with a live talk show/reality TV with celebrity guests chiming in on the subject of vampires....real or myth?
The story, albeit not anything ground breakingly original kept me interested till the end and the romance between Mina and Akira was kept at bay and din't meander into the realm of twilight-nausea-inducing-stupidity.
I also liked how the show kept the viewer guessing about some characters allegiance and affiliations.
DitVB delves into vampire lore but never gets bogged down by too much detail but tackles the lore in a simple yet intelligent manner.
I found Mina to be the most interesting character by far as she fluctuated from mature far beyond her physical appearance to juvenile behavior that coincides with her physical appearance throughout the show.
Dance in the Vampire Bund is good anime series that ends with such a way that begs for a second season.
The animation is well done, the characters are above average....some are your typical cliche'd anime stereotypes but the character Mina Tepes is interesting enough to keep you wanting to see the next episode and seeing her "true Vampire form" is also contradictory to the Vampire mythos of a hideous-monstrous demon like creature. She appears more as a succubus.
And we get some hot Vampire Vs Lycan and Lycan Vs Lycan battles!

High School of the Dead

Since we're on the subject I recently watched  High School of the Dead....13 episodes of heart pounding zombie chaos and panty shot fan service that borders on mild hentai action!
Good stuff....
Basically 5 high school kids and the school nurse band together to survive the zombie apocalypse.
The main character is Takashi the typical emo high school student who broke up with Rei, who's now dating Hisashi, Takashi's friend....uhh oh! Then there's Saya the spoiled daughter of a wealthy Japanese family and Kohta the quiet geeky character with an unhealthy obsession with guns and finally there's Saeko (pronounced psycho), she's the president of the high school Kendo club...she reminds me of The Walking Dead's Michonne mixed with Saya from Blood+.
HotD is definately for a mature audience, the blood and gore is in your face no holds barred as is the T&A.

This is not a show you'll find even on adult swim!
The best way to describe how you'll feel after watching HotD....is the way you felt after watching Sucker Punch...You found yourself disgusted by Blue and the High Roller who enjoyed babydolls "dance" then realize you enjoyed the fantasy world that Babydoll retreated to in her mind to escape the horrors of the asylum and you yourself feel "icky"
Oh and then theres that creepy teacher Mr Shido.....that scene on the buss was disturbing!
HotD was a fun Anime, with mature themes dealing with subjects like rape, murder death, sex and pandemics....definately 18+

Klatuu Verata Nicahrmcoughcough....Evil Dead remake trailer

Where is Ash!? This ain't the Evil dead I grew up with! This shit looks legitimately scary!
It looks like most of the original material is back including the tree rape scene!
Looks like the horror genre is reborn with the Walking Dead leading the charge, and World War Z, and now The Evil Dead remake!
Krogenar's life will be complete if they do a remake of the Reannimator!

The Walking Dead S3E20: Seed

Overall a decent episode, I had a few issues with it though. They pretty much went around in a big circle during the winter and ended up right back where season 2 ended!? And now they find the prison......?
Did they not look at the map before and see the state prison? Doesn't that Hyundai have GPS built in? Wouldn't it give them the best route to avoid traffic and/or walkers?
Has Rick given up warning Morgan and his son Duane? What ever happened to them!?
Season 3 is here and it's official Walkers are awesome at neighborhood watch!
So our little fellowship has found a home or perhaps a base of operations, It was good to see that they have become united under the Ricktatorship (throws Krog his royalty check for using the term Ricktatorship) and seeing them kick walker ass!
It was great seeing Maggie shank the riot walkers...very cool BTW. I love the variety of walkers we're seeing already this season.
And Lori I would hate you also....deal with it! I haven't read the novels but if Rick keeps treating her like shit and then she gets bit....that'll be some awesome drama! Zombie fetus' bursting out of Lori's vajayjay! That would be must see TV!
Poor Hershel I guess you won't be planting any seeds after all....personally if that were me I'd opted out with a slug to da head versus having my leg hacked off with an ax at the shin!

The Walking Dead Season 3 in T-minus 5 days!

Season 3 of The Walking Dead begins Sunday October 14th! AMC is running a TWD marathon starting Saturday October 13th at 10:00 AM with S1E1 Days Gone By and will conclude with the S3E1 premier Seed!

Prometheus has landed......on Blu Ray today

Prometheus has landed... on Blu Ray....today. I know i am of the minority because I enjoyed the movie. I also understand people's reasons for disliking the movie, I agree with them! My review can be found here: Movie review: Prometheus
I'm glad Fox has green lit the sequel, I'm hoping some of the original writer's vision finds it way into the sequel!

Oh and there's also this jem of honesty I found from screen Junkies!

Fringe S5 E89: In Absentia

Friday's episode, In Absentia we get a closer look at the state of Humanity since the Observers have arrived. Humanity is split between Loyalists and Rebels and how the harshness of this reality has changed us. As a parent of a soon to be 3 y/o I may have related to Olivia's situation more than those without children. One of the things I worry  about is my son losing his childhood innocence. The episode really did a great of showing how the harshness of the this realities timeline has stolen Peter and Olivia's child's innocence and made her a cold calculating, merciless rebel.
The highlight of this episode for me was the conversation between  Olivia and Etta during Manfretti's interrogation...

Etta: You don't know my world.
Olivia: You're right, I don't know your world. But I had hoped for you that, wherever you were, you weren't hardened by what had happened to you.And it not that I don't see what the observers have wrought I do. But what concerns me is what they've taken away.
Etta: This is the world, it is what it is.

That conversation saddened me because it could easily be a conversation between a parent and child in real life today.
Overall the episode did what it had to do, it showed the effects the Observers have had on humanity and the dire state we are in, you either become a pet of the Observers or a lab rat. Other than that the Fight for the Future barely moved forward.
I am curious what, if anything, we will find if Olivia goes to the address Manfretti gave her....obviously not his son.
So once the team got power back to the lab we finally begin making progress on the plan to save humanity from.......humanity.
A couple questions crossed my mind after this episode, if September (an observer) was able to travel around time and across alternate universes why is it Captain Windmark and the observers having such difficulty finding Walter and the gang.
The other thing that struck me as odd was the VHS tape, something just seemed wrong with that scene, why is Walter recording on a VHS tape....and what's the significance of the comment about the grape twizzlers! Was that a different Walter recording that message?
And where is that cow?!
2 down 11 to go.....

Skyfall Opening Theme Song by Adele

Not bad, still prefer You Know My Name by Chris Cornell better.

Transformers Prime: Inside Job promo trailer

Next weeks episode has Smokescreen prisoner aboard the Decepticon Warship, while there he discovers the location of the final Omega key, he attempts to recover the one Megatron posses to tilt the odds in the Autobots favor.
