And God visited Long Island and found the 21st century's Noah...Alan Warner, a 23 year old dating an 18 year old with a 5 year old child! God said unto Alan,
"go forth and collect as many animal as you can this winter, when the snow melts new jerusalem...oops I mean Long Island will sink.
I'm giving HUGE props to the reporter in the below video for not bursting out laughing when he reported the old bag had a BIRD NESTING IN HER HAIR!!!! BWAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!
"There were animals all over the house from the attic to the basement and even outside in the snow and freezing temperatures.
There was a cow inside the home, along with a deer, rabbits, mice, snakes, goats, pigs, birds, chinchillas, dogs and other animals.
As they waded through filth and debris to rescue the animals, some workers covered themselves in hazardous materials suits"

X-Men: First Class Trailer
Here's the first trailer for X Men first class! For those not in the know the cuban missle crisis sets the stage for the events that unfold within the mutant community and the divide between Charles Xavier and Eric Lehnsherr is fleshed out in this storyline. From my few viewing so far I have spotted Beast, Mystique, Emma Frost, and Psylocke. Aside from the glaring date/age continuity issue with Emma frost I think this looks pretty good.
Personally I'm more excited for the new Spiderman movie starring Andrew Garfield!!

NGP or PSP2 commercial
I've never owned a portable gaming system but the PSP was one I would've probably dropped the cash on...it was a sweet looking device! But there was always something that stayed my hand from pulling out the wallet...one analog stick! Then the PSPgo was revealed and again one analog stick...WTF. The games were gorgeous, it played movies and had PS store integration....nice, but I never did get one. Now Sony reveals the NGP (PSP2)...Just watching the commercial I'm happy to see Sony has listened to the community and added the second analog stick, a touch screen, motion control and some sorta touch pad on the flip side. The PSP2 looks slightly more ergonogically comfortable than it's forefather. All in all the PSP2 looks fantastic and did you see some of the franchises the PSP2 was running? Uncharted, Resistance...those games are graphics monsters!
Looks like next holiday season Sony is gonna face off against the Nintendo's 3DS, I hope the PSP2 competes better against Nintendo's next handheld than the PSP did.

Final Fantasy versus XIII new trailer
Now I remember why I was more interested in VS XIII than XIII! This trailer really showcases the power of the PS3, it is great to see actual gameplay footage also. I love the fact that there is framed Yoshitaka Amano artwork in the scene where Noctis Lucis meets Stella Nox!
The cityscape cut scenes are jaw dropping and from what I've seen it appears VS XIII may be less linear that XIII, which many complained about.
The other neat little thing I spotted was the animated avatars of the characters in the ATB gauge while fighting the behemouth. This one's on my launch day list!

Square-Enix announces FFXIII-2...thousands of voices cry out and are suddenly silenced
Whoa there Sqeenix! I'm still killing Adamantortoises on Gran Pulse trying to get the Treasure Hunter Trophy!
So FFXIII-2 is a direct sequel that will pick up right where FFXIII left off after defeating Orphan...I hope they figure in the hours spent on Gran Pulse after defeating Orphan doing hunts and upgrading and dismantling weapons for the treasure hunter trophy...
FFXIII-2 apparently will expand upon the events that we only got to read about between chapters.
FFXIII-2 will focus on the Goddess Etro...could she be the maker Barthadelus mentioned???
The ATB system will be "evolved", read as FFXIII's ATB system was a beta test...
The story will be darker and more mysterious...I hope they explore where the F everyone on Gran Pulse disapeared to.

EGM SSX DD Cover story
I still remember the first time I played the original SSX when the PS2 launched...the game kinda flew under the radar but it was incredible, the graphics, the sound track, the game was gorgeous and it handled just as well. And SSX3 was and is the best snowboarding game to date imo. So after reading the EGM cover story I'm a little disappointed and a little optimistic at the same time. SSX is like the X games VS The Olympics, SSX was never about realism is was always about over (way over) the top racing while performing insane (unreal) tricks in various locations, terrains, and weather conditions using larger than life characters. And the tracks that DJ Atomika spun on SSX radio reflected this uber stylized game perfectly...in short it was pure fun to the XTREEME.
The one thing I learned in my time in retail is never come into a new job and try and reinvent the wheel. The article leaves the impression that these guys are gonna make the SSX franchise better by making it more accessible to the masses, and I'm sorry but making it more realistic with a hint of CoD action is not the answer. From the sound of it they're forgetting the fun factor, but there was some things in the story that piqued my interest....the Mountain Man program and the Google Earth Interface. If SSXDD allows us to free ride a digital representation of real mountains that would be pretty cool...I'd still miss doing ???? over apartment buildings in Merqury City or grinding the edge of an icy precipice on the throne as a plane crashes through the trees. And for the love of all things bring back DJ Atomika, Nate, Alegra, Mac, Zoe, and the rest of the SSX originals!
