Final Fantasy type 0 HD PAX East trailer

I really wanted to get  this game when it was announced last year but alas real life has fucked me and I have yet to buy my PS4! The 3 reasons I wanted to get this title is it never made it stateside when it was released on the PSP, It's rated M 17+ and it comes with a FFXV demo if preordered via Amazon.
Oh well maybe some day.....

Star Wars Rebels: Fire Across the Galaxy

My interest in Rebels has been teetering for the last few episodes, after binge watching all 5.5 seasons of The Clone Wars back in December this show feels very limited in scope and this is supposed to be a bridge between RotS and ANH it seems rather dull. The troopers from The Clone Wars were highly skilled, battle hardened soldiers and the troopers in Rebels are embarrassingly inept...it's hard to believe they degraded so rapidly since RotS.
I have my fair share of reservations about SW Rebels but seeing Ahsoka was a pleasant surprise! I'm hoping season 2 expands on multiple rebel cells, actually they could focus on an entirely different cell and I'd be fine with that. Of the cast I'm really not feeling Ezra Bridger all that much.
Too bad for Kanaan, because I like his character but I couldn't care less if his Padawan ate a lightsaber blade...
I also think Sabine has alot of potenial and I was excited to hear her character will be in Gareth Edwards 2016 Star Wars spin off movie!
I do appreciate how they've blended McQuarrie's early designs for the Wookies (Zeb), R2 (Chopper) and Vader into Rebels visual style.

As I mentioned it's a nice way to pay homage to McQuarrie's vision but the art direction betrays the target audience, it appears more cartoony that The Clone Wars but then you get the Inquisitor who is was a bit unnerving for my 5 y/o son and scenes where Kanaan is being tortured. I'm also curious what the Inquisitor meant by thing's far worse than death...I'm guessing he means what happened to Anakin...

To summarize Anakin saved Ahsoka in SW The Clone Wars and I think for many Ahsoka saved Kanaan and the crew of the Ghost in more ways than one...
So glad she's back, I wonder if she knows what her former master has become?

The Walking Dead S5 E63 Remember

I'd like to start this off with a childhood friend I remember who would welcome Rick's family into his neighborhood much the way Deanna did last night...Mr Rodgers!

Unlike last weeks episode this week I actually have some thoughts to share...
First off as a former Sheriff I'm kinda shocked Rick doesn't sense Alexandria has some issue! I shouldn't say that because he did, when he questions Deanna's reasoning for opening their gates to a group as feral looking as are. As a politician she aptly diverts the conversation just enough to avoid telling Rick their problem....
I loved watching the recordings of the interviews, especially Carol's!!! She is masterful at spy work! I love how she fed Deanna the whole mother hen story, agrees to bake for the ol folks, and then at the end she tells Rick this place will make us weak! Damn Carol you are one smart survivor! Daryl had me laughing with the possum, it obvious he's not feeling this place at all, and Glenn he's showing signs of PTSD....he needs Alexandria, Michonne wants Alexandria, the rest we'll see in the following weeks.
Rick and the group find the luxuries of running hot water, throw pillows and video games and the shit we take for granted in our every day lives unnerving. The people of Alexandria go about their daily lives as if the horrors beyond the walls doesn't exist....and this is exactly what Carl and Carol mean when they tell Rick that this place will make them weak.
Things of note, the girl Carl meets, Enid, jumping the wall obviously doesn't want to be spotted....why? Where did she disappear to? to the 3 excommunicated residents?

And who took Ricks pistol with the J on it (we all know what thats for....shudders)
Oh dangit someone took the walker I chained up, I absolutely loved the scene where Glenn fuckin shut down Aiden,
A:"You're not ready for runs yet"
G: "pretty sure you got that backwards"
Fuck yeah Glenn!
And Daryl pacing like Darth Maul HELL YEAH!
Obviously Alexandria doesn't know who they're dealing with!

Let's review:
S1 CDC....blown up
S2 Hershels Farm....over run by walkers
S3 Prison/ Woodbury...War
S4 Prison/Terminus...canibals!
S5 Alexandria.....sorry I'm not holding out much hope here....

Street Fighter V Charlie Nash Gameplay Trailer

HE'S ALIVE ALLLIIIVVVEE!
Capcom just released the first gameplay footage of Charlie Nash in Street Fighter V, my first thought....Guile you're best friend is dead. that is not the Charlie Nash we knew in the Alpha series that is Shadow Soldier Charlie, but then why the third eye gem??? Is Charlie the first successful experiment by Shadaloo or the Illuminati? Is the Illuminati  another aspect of Shadaloo like S.I.N. or did Bison get this tech from Gill and the Illuminati? Oh yeah that's definitely Bison at the very end...
One thing's for certain I'm loving this darker, serious look to Street Fighter V!

Final Fantasy Dissidia Arcade Trailer

I always wanted to play the PSP Dissidia Final Fantasy games, but never got to. So Square gives us a gift on Valentines Day Dissidia Final Fantasy "Arcade Edition".
I haven't a doubt in my mind that this game can run on current gen hardware, and will come stateside eventually. I wonder if this is Square's next step into the fighting game genre....this might connected to that whole Taipei Game Show Street Fighter mystery background with a Square Enix logo on it.....

Final Fantasy XV Jump Festa Trailer

I cannot wait for Final Fantasy XV! Sasuke Uchiha Noctis and his broforce take a road trip to escape the invasion from the country of Niflheim. This latest trailer introduces Cid...I don't recall Cid ever being female, not that it matters....love the accent and the hat! Full service huh?
The environments seem very Western to me, I love the scene where they bro's are chilling by a campfire reminds me of my camping trips with friends and family in the summer!
The Beheamoth stalking thru the woods was very cool to, no more warping to a separate battle screen!
And who is that looking for a pedicure at the end???? Titan! So we've seen Leviathan and Titan so far and they are HUGE!!! I can't wait to see Bahamut, Shiva, Ifrit and maybe Diabolos will be in FFXV.

The Walking Dead S5 E61: Them

Hi Ho, hi ho, hi ho it's off to DC we go.
So last episode Rick agreed to go to Washington DC as it was their best bet to finding a possible safe community for the group.
This week the groups exodus shows they are out of energy, supplies and hope as they stagger along trailed by a herd of walkers. Without the energy to fight rick devises a plan to dispatch them with little exertion, the plan goes south when Sasha goes Rambo on the undead with no consideration of the group. Maggie is also struggling to find a reason to continue after Beth's death at the hospital.
Glenn tells Maggie she must continue to fight and not give up because of despair, Abraham tries to console Sasha but she basically tells him to STFU. Later in the barn father Gabriel al;so tries to comfort Maggie and she ever so sutly reminds him that he left his parish to perish...
Morale is at an all time low and Daryl goes off the road to look for water....the only water Daryl finds is the tears flowing from his eyes....you know shits real if Daryl's crying like a bitch. The group comes across a Poland spring supply drop from "a friend". With obvious skepticism the don't drink it even though it must've looked like filet mignon to someone stranded on a deserted island. Eugene decides to be the sacrificial lamb and goes to take a swig and of all people Abraham knocks it away. Serious? I would've let him drink it!
Suddenly the sky's open up and it starts pouring rain......coincidence or divine intervention? Daryl tells them he spotted a barn close by.  Rick and a few other sit around a fire pit and Rick gives the worst motivational speech about the only way to survival this world is to to wake up and believe they're dead....that they are the walking dead. Daryl tells him he's full of malarkey and then the 3 wise men visit the barn with Gold, Frankincense and Mir....ok it just another horde of Walkers. the group unite to form Voltron in the barn to keep the walkers out. In the morning Maggie and Sasha celebrate the moments of their lives....

but the moment is ruined when a model from lands end stumbles upon their "shared moment".

The Walking Dead S5 E60 What Happened and What's Going On Recap

You know what you can't do with a hammer?
Amputate an arm....
Most unsuccessful road trip ever!
Survived Woodbury and the Guvnr,
Survived the plaque in the Prison,
Survived the battle at the prison against the Guvnr,
Survived baby sitting Lizzie, Mika and  Judith
Throughout his time on the show Tyresse stayed true to himself, he didn't let the world around him change him.
After all that Ty get's bit by a kid who got a time out for becoming a walker. WHAT!? Personally I would've let Noah go in the house first.....
I really enjoyed how we got to witness what Tyresse saw as the fever took over him. It was basically the devil (The Guvnr & Martin) on one shoulder and an angel ( Beth, Bobby, Lizzy & Mika ) on the other. And I never gave up on ya big guy even though you got bit TWICE in the same spot. I knew Dr. Michonne was gonna amputate that bad arm and when she did was I the only one who was hoping for Tyresse to get the Ash upgrade???

Aside from losing Tyresse the biggest thing that happened in this episode is we're out of Georgia!!!! The road trip brought Rick, Michonne, Glenn, Tyresse and Noah to Virginia to fulfill Beth's dying wish.
We're only a hundred miles away from DC folks we're going to the Capitol!
I just find it a little odd that the first 4 seasons the group couldn't find their way out of a wet paper bag and all of a sudden Rick becomes Lewis and Clark of the apocalyptic trail.

Movie Review: The Loft

Much like the the 2011 American version of The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo which paled in comparison to the 2009 Swedish version, this version of the Loft most likely is a watered down version of the 2008 movie from Belgium.

When I saw this I didn't realize this was a ctrl C ctrl V Hollywood movie....it makes sense now.
I'm gonna hit up my local library and find the 2008 version!
The only redeeming factor about this movie was Eric Stonestreet....his tyrade about boob jobs was funny as hell! As far as Marsden and Urban, I feel like they did just above dialing in the roles. By the end I didn't really care what happened to any of them.
Basically these 5 guys have so many skeleton's in their closets they could open a Spirit Halloween Store. I couldn't care about any of these people and their first world problems No one's happy even though they're all apparently well off...including the wives.
And for their intelligence none of them could figure that this plan was doomed to fail from the beginning!
Save your money on this unoriginal, cop n paste remake,

Star Wars Episode VII The Force Awakens Speculation #4

So I read the latest batch of TFA rumors and if the info is correct I'm more convinced than ever that The Force Awakens is gonna be an amalgamation of Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade and Star Wars, especially the part about Luke and the tomb and the kyber crystal that unlocks the tomb that Kylo Ren is trying to find and unlock.
Somehow I already knew they info about Rey and who she's related to.
And the bit about Leia having to decide whether or not to use a weapon capable of destroying a planet is an interesting juxtaposition from when she witnessed the destruction of  Dantooine.
I like the idea that perhaps the situation is so dire that a proposal  to build a weapon with firepower of equal magnitude is put on the table. I pray it's not another Death Star though!
