There's a Ghost in my Rogue One TV Spot!

I am a huge Star Wars Geek and I cannot wait till Saturday when I see Rogue One with my band of Rebels! Speaking of which I have been enjoying the Star Wars Rebels show on Disney XD since it began, and I've been hoping the SW Rebels animated series would somehow connect with Rogue One annnnnnd the latest TV Spot has that connection! Movie Review: Shin Godzilla

I wanted to see this when it was in the theater in my neighborhood, but I couldn't due to super preggo waifu. I just got to see Shin Gojira and I can say this is a bold "reboot" to Toho's beloved franchise. Shin Gojira reinvents the origin of the King of all Monsters while using the horrific events from the 2011 earthquake and subsequent tsunami off the east coast of Japan. Shin Gojira returns to the Kaiju's roots of being a force of nature that mankind must struggle against in order to survive. I loved seeing the evolution of Gojira in the movie, the metamorphosis of Gojira on screen reminded me of Gojira Vs Destroyah.
All the typical tropes for a Gojira movie are there, people running for shelters, police helplessly trying to direct people, military/ JSDF ineffectiveness against Gojira, buildings and homes being trampled but the thing I appreciated was the contrast between the chaos and destruction and the seemingly "business as usual"  atmosphere in the board rooms with the PM and his advisers.
I appreciated the juxtaposition, it lent a level of maturity to this movie the franchise isn't known for, even the logistical obstacles the scientists faced when trying to produce the coagulant en mas was portrayed in a much more realistic manner than most, if not all previous Gojira movies.
I was also pleasantly surprised by the level of attention given to the military ops in Shin Gojira, I work in aviation and alot of the technical jargon was accurate! The vehicles were impressive looking as well I didn't have many opportunities to yell "TOY BOAT!!"
Nothing against Gareth Edwards Godzilla movie....I enjoyed it but Toho just does a better Gojira.
This ain't you're gran papy's Gojira....this Gojira IS A MONSTER, a monster born of mankind's lack of respect for Earth and this new Gojira is HOT and if he can't cool down in the oceans GET THE FUCK OUT! I can say without a shadow of a doubt the level of destruction this Gojira dolls out is insane!

I'm on the fence with the tail & dorsal lasers but aside from that I loved this movie and I am glad that Toho took some cinematic cue's from Gareth Edwards Godzilla movie, we get some real unique angles and I like the inclusion of some shaky cam footage during the chaos.
Shin Gojira is definitively in my top 5 favorite G movies of all time, it's a shame it was only in US theaters for 1 week.

GotG Vol 2 Teaser Trailer

As if MVC Infinite wasn't enough we also got the first trailer for GotG Vol 2 yesterday! So I'm driving home from work last night and I'm waiting at a light and see a close up of Baby Groot and BAM it's the new trailer! I pull over to watch it and I'm laughing out loud so hard people walking by look inside my car wondering what's going on.
Eat your heart out baby Ewoks and Gizmo! Baby Groot has gotta be the cutest, funniest F'N creature ever on the silver screen!
2017 is set to be a total Decultcha Overload!

PSX 2016

Just finished watching the PSX stream and DAMN 2017! Between the movies and now the games I'm gonna need to reach out to that guy in Africa telling me there's millions waiting for me.... Anyway here's the games that brought the hype for me.
Uncharted the Lost Legacy  Very cool gameplay trailer!




MVC Infinite....I hope they don't replace SFXT's gems with Infinity Stones...

 Ys Origin...I've always wanted to get into the Ys series, this trailer reminds me of an old JRPG near and dear to my heart, Lunar Silver Star Story Complete.



Dreadnought....Giant Spaceships with crazy fire power....I loved this game on the Atari 5200!
Vane: I like the visual style of this game



The Last of Us 2.....WHHHHAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!????? I didn't see a reason for a sequel but after seeing that trailer OKAY!

GT Sport...last Gran Turismo I owned was GT4

Parappa the Rapper 20th anniversary! I laughed my ass off with Krogenar back in the day playing this game



Windjammers: REtro never looked so good! This trailer made me remember an old NES game I loved to play SUPER Dodgeball! Who remembers that game?!

And there's also some other AAA titles coming in 2017 that I'm super hyped for that weren't showcased at the PSX presentation.

TWD S7E6 Swear Thoughts and Impressions

7 seasons of TWD and I'm still watching every Sunday! The S7 premire was HARSH and since that intial shock and awe I've enjoyed each episode as it has in some way moved the story forward.....last nights episode......eeehhhhh not so much.
So Tara the Lesbian and the Heath have missed out on all the fun after killing some of the Saviors at the com tower. Tara need to cross a literal and metaphorical bridge but Tara (the Lesbian) washes up near a secret camp of all women....who eat nothing but fish!
OK that's far enough!
I'm renaming this episode
"Tara and the Secret Garden"
