Movie Review: 12 Years a Slave

I can count on one hand the number of movies I believe need to be shown in US high schools, 12 years a slave is one of them along with American History X.
This is what I was hoping Tarantino had done with D'Jango Unchained, not to say D'jango was a bad movie, it was good but I felt there were scenes in it that contradicted the serious nature of the subject. Where as 12 Years a Slave gave a much more honest, serious look at slavery in the United States.
This is a very powerful film that doesn't sugar coat the story, the cast is phenomenal from Chiwetel Eijiofor as Solomon Northup, to Michael Fassbender, Brad Pitt, Paul Giamatti, and Alfre Woodard. I highly recommend seeing this film!
