Erased Thoughts and Impressions

Going off a recommendation I decided to check out Erased and I'm 5 episodes in and can say without a doubt this is an anime worth checking out whether you're into anime or not. The subject matter is much more mature than anything I've seen recently in an anime....yes I'm looking at you Sora no Otoshimono.
The show's primary character, Satoru Fujinuma, a 29 year old manga artist, who delivers pizzas, he has the uncanny and seemingly uncontrollable ability to rewind time for short periods of time to help right a wrong. In the show this is called revival and when a tragic event occurs in the present which has ties to the past Satoru finds himself 19 years in the past. Satoru's 29 year old conscience existing in his 10 year old body, he takes this "second chance " to change the course of history and save the life of a girl, Kayo Hinazuki, a classmate that was a victim of domestic violence and was found the following spring in a garbage dump, and a young man, Jun Shiratori, who was wrongly accused of the kidnapping murder, and Satoru's mother who spotted the real perpetrator in a parking lot while shopping with Satoru.
This is a fantastic show that tackles some very serious issues, I'm really enjoying the mystery revolving around the kidnappings and murders, and how Young Satoru has all of his 29 year old knowledge, like the saying, "If I knew then what I know now". I love how that comes into play when he's trying to protect Kayo and find the person who committed the crimes.
I definitively recommend checking out this new anime, it's available on crunchyroll.com, new episodes arrive Thursdays.
