Only 2 weeks till Capcom Cup and the announcement of season 4! I’m excited are you? I hope we get to see all the DLC characters for 2019!

Wreck it Ralph 2: Ralph Breaks the Interwebs My thoughts and Impressions

I took my kids to see Wreck it Ralph 2 Sunday.

My son liked the original more and I agree but for different reasons.

So in the first movie Ralph is tired of his predetermined lot in life to be a villain and literally abandons his game to better his life....to be a hero! He's driven, he's motivated! In the sequel Ralph is perfectly content with his life Go to Work hang out with Vanellope at Tappers, watch the sun rise....rinse- repeat. He's a bum so to speak. As long as his bestie (Vanellope) is there with him everything is irie...

The macguffin in this movie is the steering wheel for the Sugar Rush game which gets broken as a player wrestles against Vanellope as she drives on the "new" track Ralph makes for her. This scene is clearly there to demonstrate that Vanellope longs for something more in her life similar to Ralph in the first movie and the Polar opposite of Ralph in this movie.  Good guy Ralph figures out how to save Vanellope and all the citizens of Sugar Rush that are now game less.....by going to the interwebz!

So Ralph has a solid plan but once they arrive Ralph becomes a complete imbecile and Vanellope just gets it.......so Ralph being the older character is a metaphor for the older folks IRL and Vanellope is a millennial.....GTFOH!

When I saw the trailer with Vanellope and the Disney princesses I thought it was cute and entertaining then the next trailer that showcased her in the Disney realm of the web was crazy and cool but when I left the theater in retrospect it came across as self perpetuating drivel. 
Psst if you've seen the trailers you've seen the best parts of WiR2.
I also noticed a new trend within the disney animated movies, they literally call themselves out for laugh's! The first time I saw it was in Frozen when Elsa calls out Anna for falling in love with a guy she met only hours earlier. It's in WiR2 even more in your face when Vanellope meets the Disney Princesses. So this movie is self deprecating and self perpetuating at the same time. That's bizarre!
I'm not gonna nitpick the entire movie, there are aspects I liked but I found Ralph's character development frustrating and too close to real life issues.
Long story short, for me this movie turned out to be a message from Disney to Star Wars fans....
Ralph = Star Wars Fans
Vanellope = OT
And Ralph's speech to the Giant Ralph virus is Disney telling the fans ya gotta let go of the past and embrace change no matter how painful it is.
But that's what I saw in this movie, my son told me he didn't like it as much as the first because it was sad and he didn't leave the theater feeling as hopeful as he did from the original......
Welcome to my world buddy! Now you know how my generation feels about Disney's Star Wars!
WTF is going on Disney!?! Your movies are supposed to bring smiles to peoples faces!
Time to crack the ice and reanimate Walt!

Go to Versus Mode, Choose Versus CPU, choose Shadaloo Base Stage, a couple good hard knock downs to the opponent on the right side stage until all the green canisters (missiles) shoot off in the air and you're done!

SFV 2018 Holiday DLC Costumes

Who's got that holiday spirit? Blanka does! Cody  , Sakura and Falke also!
So if I were only gonna get one of these (and I am only getting one) it will be Falke's!
I like Cody's, Sakura's looks like jail bait and WTF is Blanka wearing!?
Falke's wardrobe is certainly growing, considering she is the second to last used character in the entire roster. (I'm one of the 10 people who use her)

RISE

Netflix The Christmas Chronicals

Ok so my son asked me to check out a trailer for a Christmas Movie, I was like, "meh, aight"....My favorite Christmas movies are A Christmas Story and Miracle on 34th Street, National Lampoons Christmas Vacation and the old animated How the Grinch Stole Christmas. I've yet to see a Christmas movie that has been better than those. And don't get me started on those Hallmark Channel Movies.....eggnog bile
So I fired up the ol ewwtoobs and to my surprise my heart grew three sizes last night, this trailer felt relevant and funny as hell  hohoho it made me laugh out loud and Kurt Russell as Saint Nick? Who knew!
So Ryan thank you for telling me about this! I can't wait to watch it with you, mommy and your sister!

Final Fantasy XIV Shadow bringers teaser trailer

Fistly Squeenix has always had gorgeous cinematic trailers, Second I played FFXI for 3+ years and still never saw all of Vana Diel.....I really enjoyed my time in that world, Third FFXIV had a rough start and I was not 100% convinced I wanted to jump back into a MMORPG.
I will admit this trailer is epic and makes me want to go to Eorza but unlike when I played FFXI I have a family now and I don't have the time to invest in FFXIV to truly enjoy the MMO and get the most out of the monthly subscription fee.

Subtract 2500FM for FANG's 3rd [Q&I] Mecha FANG Crossover Costume.

This week I ended up with 4550FM;  3,300 FM for the weekly missions + 1500 FM for the 3 levels my Falke went up for beating the Rapidly Advancing Shadaloo Grunt 3 times, minus the 250 FM for the fortune tix fight.
  I passed on the Mecha Fang Crossover Costume....I don't play FANG ever to justify the FM . I will be doing the Mecha Juri Crossover Costume next week!

Memoir of a Murderer Movie Review

Memoir of a Murderer is just another fantastic Korean film that I have had the opportunity to see thanks to UPF!
MoaM grabbed my attention and never let go till the credits were rolling, MoaM takes a fresh approach to a tired  plot device...Amnesia/Alzheimer's.
The story evolves around an aging serial killer who is suffering from dementia/alzheimers who crosses paths with a young serial killer and one of the best killer V killa showdown's commences but for Kim Byeong Su the challenge to save his daughter and stop this young killer with a similar MO to Kim's is his dementia.
What I enjoyed most about this movie is the fact the layers that keep getting thrown into the story, it'll keep you engaged and guessing even after the movie is done! MoaM reminded me of both Memento and Primal Fear with a dash of The Usual Suspects.....yeah those are all great movies!
I highly recommend tracking this film down and watching it! It came out in 2017 so it's out there.

Go to Versus Mode, Choose Versus CPU, choose Hillside Plaza Stage, beat the CPU on the right side of the stage and just keep hitting the CPU opponent so that the Toucan grabs the fruit and gets away with it before the vendor grabs it back!
