Tryp & Krog in The Temple of Uggalepih

After playing BLU for a week I discovered + =HP auto regen and + =beast killer. I reached lvl 18 and learned Cursed Sphere off of Damselfly's in the Valkrum Dunes, I'm lookin forward to learning Bludgeon from Orcish Warmachines. The thing I really love about BLU is the fact there's no scrolls to be bought and that means no pricejacking! But learning some of these spells can take a very long time, I suppose that's the trade off.
After a few weeks playing as a Blue Mage I decided to return to my SMN pilgrimage and headed to the Temple of Uggalepih with Krogenar to get the Uggalepih Offering, which I need in order to spawn the NM Crimsontoothed Pawberry that drops Carbuncle Mitts! I need those gloves as a young SMN so that I can keep Carbuncle summoned for a greater amount of time. We met up in Port Jeuno and I teleported us to Yhoator Jungle. From there we navigated our way thru the dense jungle maze to bloodlet spring to a secret entrance to the Den of Rancor, then from there we snuck our way to the hidden "back door" to the Temple of Uggalepih. Once we arrived Krog did a little recon, even at lvl 73 he took a whacking once they spoted him! From where I waited there was a staircase that spiraled up to a large room, the left wall of the room lead to a hallway that had four smaller rooms with closed doors. Within one there was an offering, but there were inevitably Tonberry's as well as Iron Maidens all over! The simple solution, cast sneak and invis right? Wrong, Iron Maidens agro to magic casting and with Invis up you can't open the doors to the rooms, without invis up you'd be spotted by the Tonberry's, so Krog came up with a great plan, we'd cast Sneak and Invis at a safe distance run to the room he'd drop his buffs, open the door so I could enter the room get all sorts of Tonberry hate and run his ass back to the zone double time, I would run in the room drop my buffs grab the offering and follow the tonberry parade back to the zone, it worked like a charm!
After getting the Ugg Offering I teleported Krog to the Crag of Holla then we grabbed chocobo's and rode off into the sunset, our destination the top of the Yughot Grotto traveling thru Ghelsba Outpost and then thru Fort Ghelsba to help a new LotB member get the three keys needed to get an airship licenses. Krog diverted enroute to San D Oria to stock up on CC's. I was the first on the scene so I started my own Orc parade, when I reached the top of Ghelsba Outpost I had around 10 and when Krog showed up he had about 10, a few aga spells and the Outpost was whiped clean of Orcses. Luckily when we were killing the Orcish Sergants the Sandy temple floor plans dropped and the Ghelsba key! I tele'd back to Holla and returned the floor plans to complete a Sandy Quest..thus raising my fame in Sandy even higher ^^.Then I tele'd to Mea and grabbed a chocobo and headed off to Giddeus. By the time Krog arrived I had got 2 keys but since they weren't in Giddeus yet I had to let the drops go (rare/ exclusive items aren't tradeable or sellable), once Krog and the new guy arrived the keys seemed to become scarce but just as I was about to call it a night one dropped.

Off We Go Into The Wild Blue Yonder

After gearing up I heaed home to Bastok to begin my trials as a BLU, it was there that I ran into the reincarnation of an old friend...

Kopernikuz! But now he was a Galka < /sigh > by the name Grymme

For the next few weeks Tryp would be doing alot of traveling, trying to learn new spells from mobs all over! From Sarbubataru to North Gustaberg. Some spells have been easier than others to learn, for instance the lvl 1 spell sandspin which is learned from any worm type has taken me far longer than it should have, I just acquired it at lvl 12. Last night I traveled to Giddeus to fight Yagudo and learn the ability Feather Storm, that took less than 10 birdmen.I'm now headed back home to Bastok and will be tracking Quadov down it the search for the beastmen ability Headbutt. Then off to the Ghelsba Outpost to slaughter Orcs and learn Battle Dance.

The Blue Mage Group

After walking around Aht Urghan Whitegate for awhile I finally located Waoud, he was easy to spot, half the Shiva server was surrounding him!

After answering 10 questions, he asked me to bring him a rare item found in the middle lands....from his description it could only be Valkurm Sunsand. I set my HP in Whitegate and teleported all the way to DEM then rode to the shipwreck in the dunes and waited for the right time when the sunsand would appear. After getting it I warped back and traded it to him, but he told me the request was for another, and that person was waiting near a fountain in the Aydeewa Subterrane.
I left Waoud and exited Whitegate to the Bhaflau thickets and traveled to the entrance to the Aydeewa Subterrane.

Once inside the the Aydeewa Subterrane I made two lucky turns and found the blue fountain without a map!

I was greeted by a high level Blue Mage who asked me if I desired incredible power, I was like "Hell Yeah!" and I took his hand in an offer of trust....stoopid me!Turns out I sold my soul to the Empress Nashmera the second in for the "unlimited power" of the Blue Mage way of life, sucks huh?

The Treasures of Aht Urhgan

Once Aht Urghan was completely loaded about 8 hours for me on the PS2 I set forth in acquiring my ferrry permit. The NPC's name was Faursel and he was hanging out in the Tenshodo Hdq. After seeing the unseen he told me there were 4 ways to get the permit:1 pay 500,000 gil2 the easy way by getting a damselfly worm, a magiked skull, a crab apron, a wild rabbit tail, a cup of Dhamel Saliva and abloody robe3 Intermediate way by getting a jade cryptex, a silver engraving and a 13 knot quipus.4 or the expert way by getting 1 coffer key or 1 carminechip 1 cyan chip and 1 gray chipLuckily I had a coffer key collecting dust in my storage in my Mog House. So I traded the coffer key to Faursel and waited 1 VD day for it to be "processed". The next day I got my permit and rushed to Mhaura where the ferry would transport the new adventures to the land of Aht Urghan....
The Ferry to Al Zahbi was packed to the gills!

As we headed east the ocean breeze invited adventurers to the deck, the sun was bright and we all were excited to reach this new land.

The journey wasn't too perilous, many of us decided to cast ours lines and see what new fish were ready to be caught. One Taru caught an Orobon and began to fight it on deck. It was a nasty bugger and I got whacked pretty hard by it's AoE attack for 700 dmg!

Later during our trip we were greeted by an ocean Kraken, a BST quickly charmed it and ran around Lido deck showing off his new pet.

We finally arrived at the port of Whitegate in the empire of Aht Urghan.
After going thru Aht Urhgan customs I listened to all the shouting to find the NPC map seller and then headed off to explore Al Zahbi. As I walked around I stumbled upon Naja Salaheems office, she handed me a letter and told me to bring it to an outpost...this is the first mission in the Aht Urghan expansion.

But I was looking for someone else, an NPC by the name of Waoud. Through his divinations I would be shown the path to becoming a Blue Mage.

Leviathan and Shiva join Tryp on his Pilgrimage

Continuing my avatar rally I moved to the Cloister of Frost in Fei Yin and defeated Shiva Prime and then the Cloister of Tides in the Den of Rancor for Leviathan Prime. Thankfully I was being warped to these locations otherwise I would need to wait till around lvl 60 to reach some of these proto crystals!

Only Ramuh remains........

Tryp 1 Garuda 0

The next avatar on my hit list was Garuda, Agado-Pugado in Rabao warped me to the cloister of Gales in Cape Terrigan.

Garuda is strong with the element of wind, she must of known I was coming for her...check out the not so subtle warning!

I used the same exact strategy against Garuda as I did with Titan and Ifrit and I defeated her a little easier. Garuda, your feeble skills are no match for the powers of Tryptifaeris and Carbuncle. You like the others are now mine!
